Hi, Ocean Blue, and welcome. I'm so glad you found us and joined in. You can have burning and tingling in your feet and hands...actually many places...with fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia seems to affect the nerves sometimes. I've never had what you are experiencing but I've had a lot of pain in my feet and it eventually went away.
I do wear Birkenstock shoes all of the time because I did have plantar faciitis. The sandals took care of that because they help keep the tendons stretched. Plantar's does affect the heels the most. Flip flops are supposed to be one of the worst shoes you can wear so if you do have problems with your feet I'd stay away from them. But, perhaps those tiny heels just didn't have enough support and caused this problem. If so, this should go away for you.
This also sounds a little like neuropathy. Are you diabetic by any chance? There are medications out there that are supposed to help these conditions so if you are still having this problem after Memorial Day, you probably should contact your doctor and let them know what is going on.
Meanwhile, have you tried soaking your feet in Epsom Salts? That might help some.
Be sure to check out the Fibro 101 thread...the second thread on the forum. There are links to information about fibromyalgia, including a link to symptoms.
I wish I could be more help but I haven't experienced this problem but I do know others on this forum have. I hope these people will be on shortly to help you. Since this is a holiday weekend the forum is much slower than usual.
Please let us know how you are doing. We really do care about you. Hope to hear more from you soon.
