Hello Honeybaby,
I can reaallly relate to the soaked sheets every night. A few years back before I knew nothing about
fibro, I was having the same thing on top of insomnia. Anyways, I am 42 and my night sweats started when I was 31. I was on bc for 10yrs and throughout those yrs I had the "ratio" of estro.and proges. change.
I went to 4 ob/gyn's b/4 I decided on my own to stop bc. I cried terribly to my husband on making this choice on my own (cuz, I was always in control of my birth control, know what I mean?) because the doctors were not helping me work on my symptoms and I thought it was perimenopausal, which was partly the case and I was told that if we have such experiences that going ON BC would help alleviate the symptoms I was having. HA! O.k. so I decided to just stop instead, which helped me. I still had sweats on and off but not EVERY single night like b/4.
Needless to say it took me about
2 yrs to figure all that out and get a doc that would really listen to me and believed in women that could suffer from perimenopause early in life. Having FM also can elavate our body temp, which I experience some during the day, but when my hormones are slightly off,LOL, I will sweat some during the night but NOthing like I use too.
I can so relate to wet, wet sheets and giving up on wearing jammies. I use to hate not being able to change my sheets in the middle of the night, just had to use some towels to lay on until morning. :-b Or having to wash my hair(its really long) all over again in the morning. Ugh!!
Well I hope this makes some sense, I just wanted to share my story.....
Take Care,
Hugs,
