Oh the heart rate

I'm still in the beginning days of taking Savella and I haven't gotten the nausea side effect I've been warned about but I sure do have the sped up heart rate.  It's something that is taking some getting used to being as  my heart rate is usually pretty even keeled if not slow.

It most certainly gets me when I get up and start doing things and then takes forever to slow back down.  It feels like my heart is gonna pound out of my chest.  I sure hope it goes away and I hope it gets better soon or at least be able to handle it better then right now.

Hi Ramie...

I Started the Savella almost 2 weeks ago. The heart rate issue only lasted about 4 or 5 days for me. Never felt any nausea. I'm glad I stuck it out.

It'll subside soon,

Did it list anywhere in the side effects about your heartrate? Or did your doctor mention it to you? You might want to mention it to your doctor if not, if it becomes bothersome to you or if it doesn't go away. That would scare me, but if it is typical for the med or if it goes away, I guess it might be okay. But I would mention it to the doc just in case.

I hope that the savella works for you.

Yes... very new. Savella was just approved in January of this year. Still non-formulary, so on Monday I've got to have my GP call my insurance for pre-approval. Hoping he'll give me another sample pack in the interim.

Ramie... I actually took my pulse when I started the Savella and my RHR (Resting Heart Rate) was about 88 bpm (higher than my normal, but not serious).

Yeah today was just crazy with my heart rate. I was just taking a shower and it was crazy but then when I ran some errands it was really bad. I had to stop and take some deep breaths.

We have a thing that we use to take my hubby's BP cause he has high BP but I can't seem to find it but as soon as I find it I'm gonna take my BP and see what my heart rate is. The hubby always has a high pulse rate and I so know how he feels now.

Hi Ramie, I have been on Savella 10 weeks and noticed good improvement after 7 weeks.
It has helped with burning, muscle achiness.

My resting heart rate has always been on the high side. When I first started taking Savella, my
resting heart rate would go as high as 116, now it averages about 92 which is about normal for
me. I take 50mg 2x daily and I monitor my blood pressure and heart rate daily, because of
my hypertension. I do take Diltiazem for it.

I hope The Savella works for you and that your heart rate stays at a normal rate.
