Are my symptoms fibro?

I have had pain in the back of my hips in the gluteus area, low back, knees, and behind my neck/shoulders both sides for the last few years. I also have 2 bulging discs in the L4--S1 area. My P/T therapists in the past said I also had trigger knots on both sides of my hips and in the back of my neck and shoulders.

The worst pain has been a burning/aching pain I would get around 3pm and later into the day on most days in the back of the hips. I would also get more low back pain when standing for more than 10 minutes or walking. It feels like I've walked 100 miles even though I barely walked one mile.

I am also in the menopausal stage too and I have found that since I lost an ovary the pain started to come on then and became more frequent as the years came on. I am also low thyroid and am currently taking Synthroid and Cytomel. I have found that some of the pain is better in the morning, less stiffness and achiness and I am able to do some light exercise since upping the Cytomel dose.

I would say my pain level on most days prior to getting the Cytomel up would be about 5 and nothing I took, advil, etc. ever got rid of the pain even for a few minutes. If I rested and didn't walk, you know like sat in my comfy chair, or slept, it would subside. But then walking around even in a grocery store I'd get spasms, burning, aching and would need to sit immediately. No OTC pain relievers every helped it.

I went to a Rhemy doctor and she pressed lightly on the 18 spots and since I did flinch, she said, not fibro. I am wondering if one can have different levels of this disorder?

Could my above symptoms be fibro? And since I've read that getting T3 levels up helps and I am doing this and seeing a little relief does this mean it's fibro?

The Rheumatologist did many blood tests and said nothing showed for lupus, lyme, etc. I've had MRI of the brain for something else and nothing found. I have MRI of the back and just the 2 bulging discs came up.

It just seems weird to me that I have pain mostly behind my neck and shoulders, and behind my hips, and my knees and those are 6 of the main areas of pain. But when the doctor pressed, she didn't press very hard and I didn't feel any pain. When I go to the massage therapist and he puts a little more pressure behind my hip area and neck it hurts, and then he presses a little harder on those knots and it really hurts bad. When I put the same pressure in the areas on my husbands body he says he feels nothing.

I just wonder if one can have fibro, but mild with knots and triggers and not all over constant body pain. Can one have pain in only some of the 18 areas? I can get up and function most days, but I always feel some stiffness and fatigue in the areas I mentioned. Since starting thyroid hormone, especially Cytomel it's a little bit better at times.

I am now adding the 2.5grams of malic acid and magnesium malate. I will see if this adds more benefit.

THank you. Yes I read the Fibro 101 and I printed out the pain chart too. I am going to try and find another doctor to check me over and I will bring the pain chart with me.
