well I figured you have to try something before you can know if you can do it right?
so I went to Disneyland for a friend's birthday and of course let her pick the rides and she picked all the fast rides of course.
OWEEEEEEEEE!

I was so sore from that! I'm not sure what was worse the rides or the lines!
I was happy I was able to do that much walking and stuff, but never again will I go to an amusement park unless I have a really really good reason.

I also went to an amusement park this summer. It has been a while for me. It's amazing how I can't tolerate the rides like I used to. I went on a couple of rollercoasters and did myself in. I was a mess for a week after, but at least I had some fun. I think I will try to pace myself better next time and try to be more reasonable with my limits (yeah right). It is hard to watch others have all the fun while you sit and watch...

Last time I went to Disneyland, I used a wheelchair. What a blessing!!! I couldn't have done it otherwise. I was able to ride the rides by holding my neck with my hands. (After we took off so no one would kick me out of the ride!!).

We are going in November again and I just called the wheelchair place. Orange County Wheelchairs is a great place to rent. The chairs are a lot nicer than the ones at Disneyland. And I can use it to get from my hotel to the park, too.

I would have been in total misery if I had not used a wheelchair and our friends might have had to park me somewhere and go do everything without me.

I was just thinking today what I would do if I ever had to go to Disneyworld or Epcot again, and I decided I would rent a wheelchair. But then I thought how bad my neck would hurt on the rides. I can't stand for long today and my neck is really, really hurting, that's why I thought of it. I dearly love roller coasters and rides that throw you around like the Scrambler and the Teacups, and I think it would be too sad if I couldn't enjoy them.

If I had a wheelchair I could go to Disneyland just fine. My favorite rides are Pirate of the Carribean...Small World...Tiki Room...Carousel of Progress...etc. No stress rides ;)

I went to Disney 2 years ago. We did all four parks in 4 days. By the 2nd day i was pooped, but I couldn't miss this special moment with my family I pushed through the pain and fatigue. I rode all the rides I wanted to, and took my daughter on some pretty wild ones. We had so much fun. We had to drive 14 hours to get home, and I took some pain meds and slept the whole way. I'm so glad I went it is one of my fondest memories. smilewinkgrin
