I have startled very easily for quite some time and my body over reacts to it. My heart pounds, seems like I can't catch my breath and I get very lightheaded and feel like I'm going to pass out and it takes awhile to recover from this.
Last week I heard a noise and my brain said, "that is one of the shower thingies, the suction cup came undone", but my body still over reacted and I thought I was going to pass out as I was on the way to the bathroom to look. It took quite awhile for my body to recover.
This morning I heard a noise and thought it was in the utility room so went and looked, same thing thought I was going to pass out before I got there. Didn't see anything that had fallen so came back and sat down. Heard it again, did the same thing. Then I noticed the storm door on the front door was not latched, explained this mornings noises so I closed it.
I told DH last week if anyone did try to break in the house while I am here alone I think I would die of a heart attack before they could do anything to me.
I have never asked my doc about it since my app was last Mon before these two incidents happened.
Is this a central nervous problem or what??? Does anyone else experience this???
I feel like I could literally be scared to death.
Thanks!!!
luv and hugs
