new dr update

So I went to Dr #2 today again. He had me do a sleep study a few weeks ago and it was normal. The sleep study doctor wants to do more tests (joy!). I talked with Dr #2 and he said it IS fibro and has a game plan. He upped one of my meds (amitriptyline) and gave me an anti-inflammatory for my hip pain. My ribs are inflamed too right now (??)
He also gave me 2 trigger point injections in my back today and oooo I am sore now on one side, I hope that's normal! I hope they work. I hate shots but I will do it if it helps.

He'll probably try me on lyrica in a month. We want to see what the other med does first on its own.

I finally feel like we're getting somewhere and it feels good!

the amitriptyline is to help me sleep, not so much for the pain because it does nothing in that department. I was on cymbalta and it worked ok for the pain but didn't do anything for energy. The old dr told me to up it and that was a nightmare! I hope I'll be ok with lyrica, we'll see. I've seen some people swear by it and then others have horrible side effects.

I've been on the amitriptyline for about a year now. I was on the higher dose, I just don't like the thought of taking something to sleep but I need to get over it.
