i didn't get the job

ok .. so the stomach flu hit me at 7:00 this morning ... and then a few mintues ago I found out that I did NOT get the job that I had been hoping so hard to get.  It would have been so perfect ....

They just called to tell me that they offered it to someone else, and they accepted .... I am so disappointed.  It would have made all the difference in the world for my health, my family life, my schedule, my stress levels .... and now my hopes for things to get better are SHOT. 

I am just soooooo blue now.

(((Hugs))). So sorry the job didn't work out, and that you have a virus on top of it. :(

When I have a disappointment like that, I try to tell myself that it just wasn't meant to be for me and that the reason I didn't get it is because there is something better out there for me. Sending up a prayer for you that you will get the "perfect" job soon.

thanks .. that has been my mantra since the phone call ... it just wasn't meant to be ... it's going to be ok ... someone else needed that job more than i ... i should be thankful that i have a job at all ....

do-over, I'm so sorry that you didn't get the job you hoped for. I know how dissapointed
you must feel, it hurts!. Don't give up on getting the perfect dream job, the perfect one
is out there for you and you will get it!

I agree Do-over, there is a reason for everything and it wasn't meant to be. Maybe the other person didn't have a job and was desperate for work.

 

I hope the tummy bug goes away soon.

I'm very sorry do-over...it's so disappointing when something we really wish for doesn't come thru. It sure doesn't help when you're already feeling icky and then have a flu bug on top of it.

Keep your chin up...something wonderful is out there for you.

I'm so sorry that you are ill. Being ill on top of fibro is a lot to handle. I hope you get well soon.

As far as the job goes, I am a big believer that everything happens for a reason and that there is a positive to offset every negative. It could be that something even better is going to come along for you. Please try to stay positive as being upset will only make you feel worse. Everything truly will work out. Just take a deep breath and do your best.

I am trying. I really honestly am. I would type the story of my morning, which might give some folks a chuckle, but I feel like Charlotte at the end of the fair "Charlotte's Web". Maybe later.

The gist of it is that Clara has "doctored" me and dressed my up like a princess ... and put sparkle stickers on a BUCKET for me ... oh LORD. It's never dull here. Thank you GOD for PHENEGRAN!!!!!!

I'm sorry you didn't get the job you wanted.  I know that bums you out but I have always found that there is something better out there.  We think we know what we need, but God knows better.  The perfect job is out there for you.  When my husband would be looking for work, I found that to be extremely exciting!  You will get the right thing for you.  (Gee, I just reread this!  I hope I got my point across!  turn )

 

Now, if you are suffering from nausea and vomiting with this stomach flu, here is a recipe I used for me and for my kids.  The kids loved it and called it the "concoction".  Whenever they were nauseous, I would whip this up for them and it really does work!  My children are adults now and still use this.  I got this from a Girl Scout leader many years ago.  I keep the recipe in my recipe file....the very first item!  LOL  This would be good for Clara, too.  Hope this helps you.

 

   For Nausea and Vomiting

                      1/2 Cup Gingerale

                      1/2 Cup Orange Juice

                      1 Tablespoon Karo Syrup (Light or Dark)

     Mix together and give one tablespoon every ten minutes for six doses (if needed).  Then give every 20 minutes until 2-3 doses are retained and nausea stops.

thanks! i'm on it RIGHT NOW. I tried a little chicken noodle soup and it was TOO SPICEY. oh ....... seriously?
