It's been almost a whole month since I have been back on lortabs, and things are not going well. I still seem to be partially immune to them. I really don't want to go back on the Suboxone. It only helped for a short period of time. My insurance doesn't cover anything stronger than lortabs. I don't know what to do. I could really using some advice here. I feel so hopeless right now.

Sassy, I wish I had a magic wand for you hon. You have been through so much trying
to fight the battle of pain. I know I hurt more when I'm tense or angry that is why I need
to do a type of relaxation therapy on a daily basis, sometimes several times a day. I feel
like I have a sense of control over my pain when I do my deep breathing exercises. Taking
the time to do this, puts me in charge and I can actually feel my muscles relax. It has
helped me. I know if I didn't take time to do this I would hurt all the more. Music always
lifts my spirits, the power of relaxation does help reduce my pain sensation.

Well, I found out that I have bronchitis, so that contributes to some of the reason why I feel like crap. With my fibro, plus bronchitis, it makes for feeling lousy. LOL. But, anyways. I appreciate the support.

Sassy, are you on anything else for fibro, muscle relaxers or antidepressants???

Sassy, I"m sorry you're feeling so helpless. Is there anything that your insurance covers that you could take WITH the Lortabs? It might be worth discussing with your doctor...maybe even Cymbalta or Lyrica for the Fibro would be a helpful addition.

Stay strong but allow yourself to feel your feelings so you can process them and work thru it. It hurts to be in pain all the time and it's hard to accept it, but we're here for you, whenever you need to vent.

I tried Cymbalta, but it didn't work. I do take Lyrica. When I see the doc, I am going to ask for some muscle relaxers. I take Luvox to help with my depression and OCD.

Sassy,

I take norco which is like lortab only with less tylenol. I take two at a time, the doctor allows me six a day, so if my pain is bad, I take two. I only take one if I can get away with it though. Maybe your doctor would prescribe you more. Since he can't prescribe anything stronger.

I hope that this helps. I hate to see anybody in pain.

Unfortunately, my insurance only covers four pills a day. Which really sucks. I am going to talk to my doc and see what my options are.

SassyMyKitty,  can I ask you what and how Suboxne worked for you.  I have an appt. on Thur. with a PM Dr. that suggested Suboxone and everthing that I read about it I can't find info. on how it actually works on pain (instead everthing I read about is for withdraw for Suboxone).  Any info. on this drug and how it works for Fibro. would be appreciated.

Hey I'm taking Cymbalta and it works great for me and most of my pain. You might have to get it pre-approved through your insurance buy it's worth it for me anyways. I had to go totally off my Zoloft and Trazadone because of the Cymbalta but that's just less pills to take. YEAH!
