Hi, ihbs, and welcome! Yes, we do respond on this forum. I'm the fourth one to respond in an hour and a half. That's pretty good, I think.
It is not fun to live with chronic pain and other illnesses. Many of us have a list of health problems...me included. But, we work very hard to help one another around here to get in control of our pain and to live a full and enjoyable life in spite of our health. I know I have. It took a little time but I did find what helps me. The problem with fibro is that what helps one doesn't necessarily help another. So you have to keep trying things to see what works best for you.
I use ibuprofen with food, extra strength Tylenol, malic acid/magnesium supplements, and vitamin D3 to help with pain and fatigue. I also do gentle stretching and gentle exercises. Walking and swimming are my forms of gentle exercising. You do need to keep moving with fibro or you will be stiff as a board!
Be sure to check out Fibro 101...the second thread on the forum. There are links to lots of good information about fibromyalgia, including links about malic acid/magnesium supplements and vitamin D3 and how these work in our bodies.
I'm so glad you found us and joined in. I do think you will like it here. I hope to hear more from you soon.
