I know I bruise very easily, don't even remember what I bumped into, but there it is. I had something happen last night about
3 AM.
My DH got up to use the bathroom, our dog followed him out. As my DH came back to our room, I got up to use the bathroom (I get up several x per night) I don't turn on the light, just walk thru in the dark. As I entered the dining room, something slammed into my shin - my dog on his way back to the bedroom. My darling 'puppy' has a head like a tank. This morning I found a bruise on my shin.
I have costo, also. My sternum is sore most of the time, especially, if I lean forward. It can take my breath away. I also have swelling going on in my body, my ankles and insteps, my hands and fingers. I had to take my wedding ring off before, because my finger swelled up. It just does that sometimes. It is annoying and uncomfortable. I'm not quite sure what FMS 'is', but a lot of us do have swelling and inflammation. Hopefully, we will get more info soon and some relief.
I have had this all my life and sometimes it just gets to be 'too' much, but I've come this far and I'm not about to give up. I try to rest and regroup as best I can, sometimes it just isn't possible. That is one of the reasons I love it here. Ppl get 'it', and sometimes that is enough to give you the strength to keep going.
Fear is not our friend. I tell myself that everyday. Come here and ask questions, read some back posts, read over Fibro 101, the more you know what to expect, I think, the less you will be afraid. We are here for you, we are all in this together.
Get some rest tonight and I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.
God bless. Alice.
