Yuck I wonder what else is going to go wrong

Ever had one of those days where everything seems to go wrong? Yesterday was one of them for me. I run late to my doctor appointment, because the bus is late, only to find out I thought my appointment was at 1pm and it was actually at 2pm so I wound up being early for what I thought was late. Gets better, the doctor runs behind and I don't get put into a room til 3:40pm. And if that isnt enough, after all the exams, I find out my cancer is back and I get to start chemotherapy, pill form that very day. So after the appointment I rush down to the pharmacy to get the chemo and steriods before it closes, to find out it was closed til 5pm. So I'm waiting a half hour and then I get a call on my cell saying Oh, you need to do bloodwork, we got to check your white cell count over in the children's hospital (the nearest lab). So I wait for the pharmacy, run to the lab and back out to the bus. Not only do I just miss the bus, I look at the time and see it is almost 6pm, and my last bus to my city is at 6:30 and it takes at least an hour and half to get to that bus by bus. By then I just started crying, cuz now I'm stranded in a big city. So I called my church and someone was able to come and get me, and help me pick up my son from child care. I only put him in childcare that day with a friend because of the lovely weather, it hit 100 degrees Ferheit sp? I didn't want to drag him around with that heat. So then I make it to the 2nd to last bus to where the minister's wife is going to meet me, and I miss my last bus by 2 minutes. The next bus is an hour away, so I call her back and tell her and she tells me she will just come and get me where I am. Then I get back with  a crying kid to greet me of course. Ty for letting me vent.

Just the running around, the heat, missing buses, waiting for rides (from very sweet ppl!!), trying to get to the lab and pharmacy, and a very tired little guy would have been more than enough to deal w/. I am so sorry to hear that the cancer has returned. Hopefully, the pill form of chemo will be easier for you to handle. And this time it will knock it out of the park.

I have read some of your posts here and other HW forums. You seem to have a very good sense of humor and tremendous spirit. I know they have been put to the test already, but I pray they will help you thru this coming battle. You have been thru a lot and you are a survivor. We are w/ you in spirit and prayers.

I hope you were able to take care of your things today. Pls try your best to rest tonight, and yes, I know you have a lot on your plate.

It seems you guys are my family actually, so in a way I'm telling my family from afar hehe. I'm actually shocked my biological mother is trying to be more there for me, now. And I believe it is only because I am taking care of her mother, who has dementia. I am very strong, and learned to find humour in like everything. I even ticked off my cancer doctor, because of being funny. She told me I could hire someone for two days a week to aid me to help my grandma. I will enjoy the break well as best as I can. Hopefully this chemo is better than last chemo. I bled internal, vomited blood, lost blood in stools just from the chemo. And get this--they put me on the same chemotherapy! I became a frequent flyer for the ER for Iv fluids since I kept getting dehydrated. Hmm that just gave me an idea, I will ask my doctor. We have a program at the hospital called shapes. It does bloodwork, and iv therapy. I wonder if he can enroll me in it just to keep hydrated. Beets living in an er, and better cuz I did it one time, and they give you this nice room with a tv and phone and more things. They even have wireless internet available. Oh guess I should stop rambling and do the Koffee Klatch now LOL

Ok who wants to go grocery shopping for me? Better yet, take the six year old swimming? I'm just really tired today, and my legs are swollen. I got a feeling the word flare up is a coming around the corner for me. And I just went through one a couple weeks ago. Oh, my uncle came by and he rotatilled the ground and planted my tomatoe plants (all 5). It is nice my uncle decided to help out of the blue. And my bipolar sister decided to actually check on me today. Nice to know I'm cared about, because they are always not paying attention to me. I guess my recent crying fit to my mom payed off. Today I plan on figuring out how to get to the back yard and throwing the six year old in the soft pool, laundry and grocery shopping. I wonder if I can fit a nap in between, cuz I am tired just thinkin about it. And my friends dog is snoozing on me and makes me miss my lil one being smaller lol.

If I could, I would do your grocery shopping for you....lol It seems that you are a strong and positive lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am sorry about the rotten day you had. But the others are right, you have a wonderful sense of humor and a good attitude. I'm sorry your cancer has returned. You hang in there and God bless you. You are on my prayer list.
