Ok, so I finally decided I will use the monthly planner I bought in January - - not to plan things, but to keep track of what I actually do - - (eh?)  - - and I find it and lo and behold, July and August have been ripped out!  I have a vague memory of doing this recently, and of feeling very clever at the time.  The only thing I can't remember is why.

So much for bright ideas turn

Yesterday, I thought I was being clever, I bought a bag of Milky Ways and hid it,

so I wouldn't have to share with hubby nono   now I can't remember where I put it.

Robin, I do the same thing with my chocolate!  Only chocolate.  cool

My husband always says, "DON'T put ____ in a safe place because you will never find it again!" and he's so right.

Last night I was alone watching tv, when this nasty bug bit me.  Thought is was a tick, because when I tried to brush it off, some of it stayed in mad so I used tweezers, and the little legs were still moving - gross!  Anyway, I must have spent 15 minutes looking through all my drawers for the magnifying glass I inherited from my parents.  Nada.  I'm sure I looked in all the same places for it last week.  Didn't find it then, either... 

At least, life is never boring and there are never enough hours in a day!  Did you ever find your Milky Ways?

Robin...Norah Fairchild stole your Milky Way bars!  She is sitting in the middle of Fibro R US eating them while Pointdexter shops for yet another heating pad!  So sorry for the inconveinence!!

The hubby was certain I lost his credit card yesterday.  We looked through all MY pockets, purse and other places I would have put it. (the usual...fridge, drawers, inside my sneakers) He was about to call and have it canceled when he reached into his shirt pocket for his glasses and BINGO.  Not that I have never lost a credit card.

I think the Fibro Fairies come in the dead of night and move things around. yeah That's my answer and I'm sticking to it.

OMG this made me so happy to know that I am not the only that loses and forgets things... I know its not funny when it happens, but when you read about it it is hillarious! Thanks for the laugh!

LOL thanks for the laugh my friends. I know I have done so many things just like this but wouldnt you know I cant remember any right now. Im still wondering if the frozen markers worked.

Speaking of purses and closets....a few years ago I couldn't find my cell phone.  I blamed the void, as usual (the dimension where things hide from us.  No one else buys it, but hey, it works for me.)  Retraced my steps for about a week, finally bought a new phone, and about a day later I was trying to decide again if I wanted to keep the new purse I'd bought and stuffed in the closet.  You guessed it!  I had stuck the phone in the pocket of that purse, seeing how it fit, and promptly forgotten about it.  Egg all over MY face! blush

This is what I love about this forum! I lose things ALL the time. Blame it on the pixies. Turn around three times and ask for my stuff back. Eventually I get it back, but there are a couple important things I "hid" and haven't found for months!
My 30 yr old son is started to call me cuckoo. I just laugh. Hey, if I can't laugh at myself, well, I end up crying and laughter is a much better medicine!
We all have different ways to cope. I love to hear other's stories!

It's hard to tell if your forget where you place something or if someone (kids) took it.

I have been looking for my hairspray for a day and half, guess what it showed up on the bathroom counter where I keep it at. I questioned every member of my family.......I don't see the guys using it, the 11 year is a tomboy that is a no go. The 14 year old straightens her hair, she doesn't use it.

That leaves my husband.......rofl....my butt off.

OMG you guys make me laugh so hard. I thought I might be the only one on earth that was this bad. I don't hide my chocolate because I don't want to go without it even though all the fibro books I read tell me to leave chocolate alone. BUT twice in the same week.... Could not find my wallet, looked high and low, no whear in sight....to the point I was really upset...how do you misplace your wallet when your purse is huge.. So my husband comes home from work. Finds my wallet in the refrigetator and the milk in the pantry closet... I felt so stupid. Two weeks ago I took something out of the freezer in the morning for dinner and sometime during the day I placed it back in the freezer. Guess All we can do is laugh.

Oh, how I love this. Not that I like it that you all lose things, too, but it makes me feel less crazy!

Last week I'd lost an entire tree. The tree had impressed me as very unique and beautiful. In my mind, I'd seen it on the main road in my small town. Problem: I couldn't find that tree again when I was driving. Turns out, the tree is in a totally different town. I'm nuts for imagining it in my town instead. :-P

Tonight, long after the pharmacy closed for the night, I went crackers looking for my new packet of birth control pills. I thought I'd picked them up at the pharmacy last week. I vaguely remembered putting them somewhere "safe." Suddenly I couldn't actually remember the act of picking them up from the pharmacy. I couldn't remember what "safe" place I might have stored them in if I did bring them home. Since they are closed, I couldn't get in touch with a live pharmacist to ask about this. Then I put on my detective's hat and thought of calling their phone ordering system for clues. It said I didn't have anything on-hold for pickup. It also claimed I just renewed a prescription. With these two clues, I kept digging and FINALLY found them. Geez, nothing like feeling like a total nut case having to find clues about what I'd done. ;-)

I use to have drawers under my bed and hid some things for christmas for my small nephews. I found them 3 yrs later (never used them drawers because they were so low), didn't even miss them at christmas that year. They were too big for the toys by the time I found them. My whole family thinks i'm crazy. I lose things like pudding mix, cherry pie filling.....never to be found. I think someone eats it and just doesn't say anything because they know i'll think I just misplaced it. I sure make myself hurt more sometimes stressing and looking for things.
