Hi all, hope you're all well.
ive just come to vent and maybe get some advice. I suffer with alot of headaches, ive had everything checked and it's all fine, so probably just due to my fibro. But its really getting to me now. i wake up with a headache, i take painkillers (have tried paracetamol, ibuprofen, nurofen, anadin and also my tramadol) nothing seems to work, except having a sleep. But if i was to have a sleep everytime i had a headache and it wouldnt shift, if wouldnt be worth me getting out of bed in the mornings.

Fresh air doesn't help either, if anthing that seems to make it worse. i quite often wake during the night with a bad headache/migraine. cry

If anybody has any advice as to what else might help, please let me know, i'm going out of my mind. I have a banging headache as i'm writing this.

Probably not your case, but:
I had a headache that didn't go away for a year. I finally went to an ENT who ordered a CT. Turned out I had a sinus infection. It took two rounds of antibiotics to get rid of it.
I also get headaches from some medicines. I have one right now from Cymbalta, which I am trying out.

I too had a headache that set up shop in my head for months and it was a sinus infection .. i do get lots of headaches but not a chronic every day one since antibitoics .. good luck i hope you feel beter

Amy, sorry to hear about your headaches, but I believe they are due to your fibromyalgia. I am no expert, but I suffer fibromyalgia and migraines and I get a lot of tension headaches (different than my migraines) from the fibromyalgia. Whenever my FM is really painful in the back of my shoulders/neck area, I get headaches. I wake up with a headache almost everyday. It is really hard for me to kill the headache. Sometimes I just work around the headache, but I feel your pain. It is there all the time. Some days worse than others. When i went to the painc clinic, they told me it was due to FM because my neck/shoulders and back hurt it triggers the headache. Good Luck. Hope you can find some relief.

Are you on an antidepressant/anti-anxiety med? Sometimes those provide some relief for people like you who suffer daily headaches.

Hi,
I agree with simplistic, my migraines started shortly before I was Dx with fibro. However, you dont have to just live with it! I went to a headache center and was put on topomax which preempted the headache before it started. See if your doc will refer you to one! It saved my life!

Lyrica seems to help alot with my headaches...I woke up yesterday with a splitting headache and within 1/2 hour of taking it, it was gone. Some medications may be causing you to have headaches as well.
