new to forum

hi i am new to the forum I ahave been diagnosed with fibromalgia for the past two years. I also have wear and tear of my lower back. Most of the time i walk around with crutches.    Also i am in a lot of pain most of the time.   Im just getting use to the computor as i have never used one before so bear with me as i am a bit slow.  from Teresa15

I am sorry that you have fibromyalgia, but I am so glad that you have joined us. You will come to find out by being here, you are not alone. And that makes us feel much better.

By DLA, is that disability? I was denied too. I ended up going back to work though as I was feeling better. So I guess I am not disabled, though most of the time I feel like I am. I have found out, it is like normal though, the more that you do the more that you are able to do. So I always try to keep moving. As much as I can. It is getting hard on days, as I have been waking up with a lot of pain in my hips. And my back. The back pain is gradually getting better, but the hips don't subside. I think it is something I need to get use to, as I think I am going to always have this. Hopefully by losing weight it might get better. I am trying really hard.

When you get the oppertunity, check out the thread called "fibro101". It is the first thread on the forum and it is full of information. Our Sweet Sherrine put it together for us. There are a lot of different topics there. I think you will find it useful.

Hi Teresa,

Love the name....but that's not the only thing we share. First my Rheumy told me that I have a positive ANA which is more than likely Lupus, I also have Meinere's disease. Now she has me listed as having Fibro. So I filed for my SSDI and so now in a matter of 9 months I have been denied 3 times....but I'm not giving up, I got a lawyer after the first denial...
I'm not sure what DLA is but keep fighting it!!!
