Hi all,
Hope ur all well.
Just to let you all know, I have managed to get the higher rate of DLA mobility and middle rate for care first time
It took about
19weeks, but I got there. I didnt find it much of a problem, the only bit I was dreding was having their doctor out for a medical, but he was really nice and understood where I was coming from.
Just thought I would give you all hope, that it can be done
Big hugz

Congratulations. I am so happy for you.
I just received my letter on Friday that I have been turned down by SSDI. They said although my migraines, and fibro are severe it doesn't fit their standards of disability. I also have sciatica, DDD, spinal stenosis, anxiety and depression but they said "NO". I am disappointed since I hurt every single day and can't be depended on to work when I never know if I can get out of bed. The 43 years of incapacitating migraines about
10 to 15 days per month certainly keeps me from being depending upon to show up to work. Anyway no pity party just stating the facts. No I don't plan to appeal the decision at this time. I am putting on my positive face and going to enjoy my day tomorrow no matter what it brings.

Thankyou all, i'm so glad its over.
Im sorry to hear that sawa.
I had convinced myself that they were going to say no to me.
The night before i had the letter saying yes, i had a really itchy palm and i said to my hubby, that wouldnt it be strange if i had my dla letter saying yes, in the morning lol.
very strange :)

Please tell me what DLA is and how do you go about
getting it. I am already on disability.

DLA is disability living allowance and you apply for it the same way as any other benefit.
