Numbness in part of hand

I haven't been on the board for a while but something has come up and I wondered if anyone else has this? I have a partially numb hand. There is no tingling, yet I can still feel things, hot, cold, pain and it still functions ok until it starts to hurt to bad. I have a tight glove I put on at night because when I touch that part of my hand against anything it sends shocks of electricity through me like you would not believe. It been like this for about 2 weeks or so.

Any thoughts?

Good Morning Hara, I have no idea what is going on with your hand, It does seem like it is neurological. I think you should give your doc a call and explain these new symptoms. Best of luck to you...hope the strange sensations end!

That's just it, I can not tell my doctor because he does not work at the clinic that I use to be able to go to. They will not accept me as a patient either. It stinks! Plus I don't have insurance now either.

I wish it would go away because it feels very weird.

I get so upset when I hear about people having to go without insurance. It shouldn't be this way in the richest country on Earth!

Sorry to get on my soapbox, but sometimes I just spill over with frustration about these things. Hara, I can sure see how that would be most disconcerting. How long has this been going on?

I guess for the time being, the Internet may be your best friend. Just off the top of my head, I'm thinking maybe a disc problem as one possibility. Good luck.

Well all I know is my right hand didn't start doing this weird thing until about the middle of March. My son and I went out the beggining of March to get our errands done. My dad things it might be coming from my neck but he just told me to watch it and see what it does. So frustraighting.
