Have you had trouble sleeping? I used to be an insomniac, now I have no trouble falling asleep. Walking has helped me reduce stress...that means less cortisol in my bloodstream...I'm alot more relaxed.
I walk daily and the last 4 days I've walked 12 miles...3 miles each day.
When I first started walking, I could barely go a block and back. I also have arthritis and a bad back and walking is wonderful for this...starting out slow and gradually increasing the distance is the secret.
Walking has given me more energy. The days I am flaring I continue to walk, just not as far...it does help! Exercise gives me a sense of well being. The woman I walk with is 70 years old and has spinal stenosis and arthritis. She is able to walk the 3 mile distance with me. We are able to walk that distance in 45 minutes. We both feel that walking has helped with our pain.
If you are looking for a good night's sleep, give walking a chance!
Hugs, Robin
