Feeling lost and blahhhhhh

I honestly did not think this diagnosis would effect me this much and have the pain effect me so badly! I was so optimistic last week, but after the worst leg pain last night.. I found myself just sitting in a hot bath at 4am sobbing!
I am normally not that sort of person and am rarely "helpless".
Sorry about my my rant, I just didn't expect this to be so unpredictable. I will feel good one minute and then in agony the next.Every day is different and that is what's scaring me, that I just don't know how I'm going to feel day to day.
It's all so new!

Yes that is normal. I think that all Fibro patients go through the same thing with not knowing how they will feel on a day to day basis. It's just the great life we are dealt. I just try to stay as strong mentally as possible. Know that although we will forever be in pain, there are medications that can help deminish the pain and it's not something that will kill us.. Unless we let it take our life away from us! I have found recently that even when I am in pain if it is not a 10 then I'm going to push myself and get out and enjoy my life. I think that's the only way to get through life with something like this. Play the card that your dealt!

I get flares too - still in one - pain can't decide if it likes my hip and thighs or my shoulders better. I am going to be looking into buying a few bed buddies. I also use arnica gel which every now and then helps
