Twinges?

I have a question.  I know mmy husband does not get this (he does not have Fibro so I would consider him the 'normal' -LOL- Control subject) but I am wondering if other Fibromites do.

I use a lot of mechanical rollers and T-balls, things like that, for pain relief of the lumps and knotted muscles.  Say I'm using the roller on my calf.  Frequently, if the roller rolls over a spot just right, I'll feel an immediate twinge/sting in my upper back or side - usually on the same side.  I know it's not from using my arm or anything on that same side because I'm not using them for anything when this happens.  One day I was using it on my ankle and a frisky nerve down there and boom!  A big awful twinge in my upper shoulder where the nerve from my ankle shouldn't have any business with.  Does anyone else get anything like that?

I can remember learning in school, many years ago, that if you poke your self with a pin you may feel pain in another spot also.
This has to do with the nerve endings and how they run through your body. Of course being kids we tried it and it worked.
You could poke yourself on your arm and feel in on your side or back.
It's amazing how our bodies are all connected and work together.
Just a FYI moment.

I'm ROTF****!!! The thread about the foam rollers is just too funny! I'm hurting from my chest to my waist at this time...I think it's because I worked hard at de-cluttering my sunroom today and picked up and pushed some heavy objects. But the foam roller thread gave me such a good laugh. Even when in pain laughter is the best medicine...better than therapy. Thanks for the laughs!
