Have to vent

So I have not felt too well (worse than usual I guess you would say). My pulse has been quite high for weeks so I decided to go the the doctor. Woke up feeling like I have a UTI so definately decided to go to the doctor today.

She said I had a "double whammy" of a UTI and bladder infection. Antibiotics ordered. Upon an abdominal exam she touches my gal bladder and boy that hurt. So....ultrasound next week for that.

EKG, praise God, was perfect. So she is running lots of bloodwork to see if something is out of line there. I just feel like I am falling apart.

Stressful week at work, not a great Friday, sure hope the weekend shapes up to be good!

I'm so sorry you've been feeling so punk but at least they found stuff so you will get treated appropriately. Just a thought but if you've had a low boil infection going on for a while in there, it might have caused your pulse rate to elevate. You probably haven't felt well otherwise too but maybe too much else - pain or whatever- going to notice? I'm sure glad you got into the doc. I hate!! UTI's! And maybe finding out if there is something wrong with your gallbladder will end up being a blessing in disguise.

Thank you for your responses. Notsocrazy you could be right. With such a bad infection, and not symptoms until yesterday, maybe it has been brewing for awhile. And yes that could explain the rapid pulse.

I have been drinking tons of water all the time. Other than one diet coke a day, water is all I drink.

It's hard to know at times whether feeling crummy is just the fibro or something else going on. It's kind of like Celiac Disease. When the "intestinal stuff" hits I used to automatically think I had gotten some gluten. But I have learned to tell the difference between Celiac Symptoms and just the plain old bug.

I am glad to have the outlet of this forum. I don't like to complain or whine to my hubby and kids. I just tough it out and keep going. A nurse friend of mine is trying to teach me to be more open with my family about how I feel. I have a hard time burdening others with my "stuff".

Oh my, that is a lot of appts!! I went through that a month ago and still didn't find out much.

Glad they at least found out about the thyroid. Hope you feel better

Well, here is an update on all my visits.....

Had 3 spots taken off at the Derm Dr. 1 suspicious looking...will know in a week what it is

Thyroid way off....dr cut my synthroid down to a lower dose 3 days ago. Today I had the shakes, my heart was racing, pulse was over 100 and BP skyrocketed. My regular dr wasnt in so I so the other dr. He said my synthroid was cut down too much too fast. He told me to go home and take a 1/2 pill right away and to take 1 and 1/2 pills for 5 more weeks and they will retest it.

Got a call from the dr about my ultrasound. Gal bladder is destended and the wall is thickened. I also have some polyps. I asked her what would cause those issue and she said "disease". She immediately called a surgeon and I go Monday to meet with her. She said I need it out ASAP.

BIG SIGH!

Feeling pretty down tonight. Of course with all this stress...I am hurting!

You certainly have been busy : ) Sorry you have to undergo surgery, I hope everything goes well for you.
