Thanks Alice! Aed offcourse everyone else, over the past few days i have felt very, very welcome here and i've enjoyed reading your stories and love the way you give out support to anyone in need!

It's actually a lot of fun everyone beeing from all over the place, gives us different stories to share, it's good that way :)
Who know Allice, we might just be extremely distant couzins lol.
Anyway that last bit about forgetting where we're going realy made me laugh :D Should have seen the funny look on my colleauges face as i burst out in laughter, ah never mind they allready think i'm quite mad anyway ;)

I live on the bayou on the Mississippi Gulf Coast between Mobile Alabama and New Orleans. I hibernate in the summer and live for the other 3 seasons!! We were ground zero for Katrina and rebuilt, so in a lovely very high house on stilts (21 from sea level-thank god we put an outside elevator in)
Born in Troy, NY lived in westchester county NY, lived in SW Virginia and Raleigh NC and traveled extensively in Englan France (alas no Belgium) and central america. I'm glad I did it back then because now a trip around the block is hellacious-LOL!!!

I live in Southwest Missouri, about 20 minutes from Joplin where the deadly tornado went through on Sunday. On Monday we found debris in our yard (papers, parts of books, insulation, vinyl siding) I haven't been over there yet, don't want to hinder any search/rescue efforts. Just seen the pictures on tv and on the internet. It is quite devastating. We are supposed to get more severe weather this evening.

Other than that horrible storm this is a nice place to live. We are close to Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. I've lived here for about 28 years. Prior to that I lived in the middle of Michigan near Kalamazoo.

I've seen about Joplin on our news looked devastating. I hope those nasty tornado's pass soon. When is tornado season over?

I live in Chicago. Based on the number of people that said they were from Michigan though you might forget that there are other places in the Midwest. I know to take out my hand and point to the different locations, does that mean I can join the Michigan club?

Here in Arkansas, we usually consider tornado season over around the first part of July. We had a small tornado here about three weeks ago that broke several trees in half, but didn't do any major damage. My heart goes out to those in Joplin. A friend of ours was in that hospital they keep showing on the news. Luckily he had just been discharged that Sunday morning.

I am from Hanover, Pennsylvania. We have had 7 tornados in the region in the past two weeks. I don't like tonadoes. Haven't seen one myself and hope I never do.

Just introducing myself - Name is Teresa (obviously) and I have probably had fibro for 25 years (The first pain started literally the month I met my husband, and we'll be married 25 years in March). However, the US Military didn't know about fibro, and when they finally heard about it, they ignored it. I retired with no disability for fibro, or as they worded it 0% disability for my back pain. I'm trying to figure out if I can get them to truly believe the fibro was that back pain - especially since I knew AF docs did nothing but give motrin for back pain, so I saw mostly chiropractors for it.

Anyway, I finally was diagnosed officially about 3 weeks ago. the perimenopause put some major kinks in life, and the fibro has gotten dramatically worse. Oddly enough I already did the pain easing stuff that most people with fibro do - found out what works for me and what doesn't, etc. But now I'm starting to seriously have to deal with the other symptoms. The TMJ the fibrofog, and the other fun stuff. I'm a walking dictionary of fibromyalgia symptoms!

But, I'm in North Carolina, and my doctor is an internist who is very familiar with the condition, and we are laying out a plan. So far my only big concern is the fibro fog. It's gotten alot worse lately and that scares me. But, on to other things, it's 7:35 and I haven't gotten to bed yet so need to hit the sack. Don't worry, it's not that bad - I get off work at 2 am. LOL
