I know it's been awhile since I have posted.

My olderst daughter is going through a rough time. Her knees keep swelling the doctor has already checked her for lupus arthtis gout and nothing. Its mostly when the weather is hot. It will start with one knee and then go to both. they have drained her knee and ran test.

Does anyone else have this problem or know anyone that does.

It sure has been awhile since you have posted. I am sorry about your daughter's knees. I have knee problems too. But mostly pain. No swelling, so far. At least none that I have noticed.

I hope that you are doing well, and it is nice to see you back.

I have had left knee swelling on a couple of occasions but mostly its my left foot and ankle.My primary doctor took knee xrays and said there was nothing wrong with it.

This isn't something I've experienced but I did some searching to see if I could come up with anything that might help. I'm sure you've done the same but in case others are reading I thought I'd post a site where I found solid information on the causes of swollen knees.

You did say your daughter was tested for arthritis...I'm assuming that was for rheumatoid arthritis. But osteoarthritis can also cause problems with knees. It's not diagnoses with a blood test but more by observation and a history. Here's a link to more on arthritis and Sjogren's Syndrome that might be of interest.

I had to have surgery last yr on my left knee and because of the fibro I had swelling still some 6 months later. My SIL put me onto a Tumeric (yes the spice but very concentrated 3.8 Grams per dose.) and Boswellia (1.5 Grams) preparation. I'm not sure if it or anything similar is available in the States or Canada but it worked for me! Within 3 days I'd thrown away my walking stick!!!:-)

A friend of mine has trouble with one knee swelling every summer. So far, they haven't been able to figure out what it is. I hope your daughter finds and answer!

last night horrible left knee and leg swelling after a full day with the grandbabies.I usually end up putting the heating pad on it and keep it elevated for a bit.
