Hi Kpeter~
And welcome to the Fibro Family. I'm not sure that I can answer your question as accurately as you want but I'm happy to share what I've been through with fibro and hip/leg pain.
My fibro probably started nearly 15 years ago but was very slight at the time. Add a tragic even to my life in 2000 and the fibro went wild. Was diagnosed a year or so later by my PCP. The majority of my pain is neck/shoulder/head and lower back/caboose/thighs. The muscles in these areas are what make life very challenging at times. But, I have to add, I also have a collapsed disk in my lower back that pinches the nerves going down both legs. Sometimes it's one leg more than the other, sometimes not. Also I've had hip pain since my first pregnancy but with fibro it's much worse.
One of the frustrating things about
fibro is that it can spread and/or move around the body. It can be fast or slow...no one knows how or why except that it's likely the central nervous system that is mostly involved.
I do hope something in here helps...
