Hi Shadow
It is very true that you can't say that you could even work for an hour a month you would be denied.
Be very careful what you say when you are talking to them on the phone also. Some times it feels like they are trying to trick you into saying you can work.
The more issues you have the better such as Fibro, Depression, Allergies, Sleep Issues, Arthritis, Migraines, Ibs absolutely anything you can think of even though some are symptoms of Fibo list them all seperately the more the better.
As you don't have a family Doctor now get all your records from them. If you had a previous family Dr. It would be very helpful if He/She could write a letter explaining exactly how the issues affect your ability to work. I used a list of symptomes and wrote out how each affects me and gave it to mine for a guidline for the letter. I had been denied twice but when they got that letter I was accepted right away. Haveing your Dr. on your side makes a big difference.
The issues that were most important for me were
Fibro/ Pain, exhaustion, repetative movements, unable to sit or stand for more than 10mins at a time.
Depression
Allergies to fragrances/cleaning supplies
Bursitis in my hips.
Be very careful if you get anyone as an advocate. I had one who did nothing but forward the information I gave her including the letter from my dr which she didn't even ask me to get I did on my own even tho she told me it wouldn't make much difference did the trick and she thought she should get 33%. I hadn't signed the contract yet so paid her what I thought was appropriate for the work she had done.
I hope this helps and Good Luck
