Apple, I did not even fall asleep in my sleep study! It is tricky to fall asleep due to pain. As I have herniated discs I cannot sleep on my stomach or back so always sleep on my side and as I have rotator cuff injuries I must not curl up in a ball but try to keep my shoulders back. Very difficult! Just found out I have costochondritis which really hurts when I lie on my sides. I do take Zopiclone which really helps but only take it once per week as I do NOT want to become addicted. Melatonin and other things do not help in the least. If I slept well it would make an incredible difference!
I have not tried the raw food diet yet - I was diagnosed with celiac disease in February and so have been adjusting to that. Just found out I am lactose intolerant so had to eliminate dairy last week. Plus my dietitian said not to eat much raw fruit for the next while to give my gut time to heal. I was told that perhaps I must also give up nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, etc. which would be difficult on top of not eating gluten or dairy). I feel as though I have aged 25 years in the last 3!!
However, I am SO grateful for the huge support system I have, especially my husband who is so patient and attentive and adoring!
Hmmmm...perhaps Cymbalta may not be the way to go. I have been dealing well with FMS, etc. for the most part but some days are just a bit harder to take the pain than others. I have not been on any pain meds for at least half a year with the exception of one recently I stopped because of the horrible side effects. I do go for weekly massage and acupuncture. Cortisone injections and laser have failed. But I am NOT going to give up! I do have a lot to live for and consider myself very blessed with all the interests and hobbies I do have.
