encouraging news...

I got an email from fibromyalgia network newsletter and it said this...

New and exciting research is providing answers that can validate why you hurt so much and are exhausted all the time. A recent discovery has uncovered blood markers that are elevated in fibromyalgia patients. These findings could lead to a test to detect fibro. This breakthrough research should also lead to better treatments.

 

I just wanted to share with all of you.  I don't get the newsletter anymore.  Too expensive for me.  But I am sure that there are some details in it.  But this sounded encouraging, so I wanted to share with you all.

This is really great news, Karen!  I know they are working hard at figuring out what is happening.  I saw my gastroenterologist yesterday and even he knew all about fibro and was very compassionate.  So, we are getting somewhere!  Thanks for letting us know.

Thanks for sharing Karen. I always figured they would figure it out someday, but never thought in my lifetime. Here's hoping that they are on their way to figuring it out!

Sherrine, I have found that my GI is one of my most knowledgeable Drs regarding Fibro and most definitely the most compassionate. He wants me to stay in touch even when I don't need him and send him updates and keep in touch. Such a nice guy. He has saved me from having surgery on my uterus due to a Fibroid because he identified it as myofascial pain rather than the fibroid causing the problem and has spared me a few invasive tests due to his knowledge of Fibro and how it effects the entire body. Thank God for the wonderful, knowledgeable and compassionate Drs!

Can't wait for those non-believers to finally have to put their foot in their mouths....WOOOOOHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I've also been reading about genetic links, disturbed alpha sleep, etc. I think Fibro doesn't come in just one form, and that there are several levels that will need to be further studied.

I like where this is all going:D Perhaps that cure is also around the corner;)

It makes me want to order the fibromyalgia network newsletter again just to find out the whole story. But it is so expensive and you only get four issues a year. If anybody does receive it, watch for this article.
