Hi, Maddy, and welcome! I'm so glad you found us and joined the family. I'm also glad you finally got a correct diagnosis. For many, it takes years and loads of tests to finally know what they are dealing with. I'm glad that part is over for you.
Anxiety is fear. What are you afraid of? The new doctor will help you. But, I guess it's the "fear of the unknown" that is bothering you. Just try to relax because I just bet you will have a great appointment.
A month ago I was being sent to a gastro. I was apprehensive but forged ahead. Well, he was absolutely wonderful and totally understood fibro, too! He was a "twofer"! I'm seeing him tomorrow and I can't wait because I know he will help me. What a difference in my attitude from the appointment I had last month.
So, try not to get yourself upset because it's probably for no reason. Plus, all you are doing is making yourself miserable and adding to your pain. You don't want to do that!
Be sure to read Fibro 101...the second thread on the forum. There are good links to information about fibro and you will learn a lot there. Good starting links are called Symptoms and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Be sure to let us know how your appointment tomorrow goes for you because we really do care about you. Hope to hear more from you soon.
