Hi everyone,
I received the CPAP therapy machine a few days ago. The first night, I hated this thing. Insurance requires me to wear it at least 4 hours a night for them to pay for it. First night was a real struggle, the next night was somewhat difficult too. But I could feel a difference in my memory & clarity. I used it for naps too & that's when I really felt more refreshed. I was able to fix dinner without having to sit at the kitchen table & rest my head on my arms.I was able to actually prepare a full meal with side dishes etc & enjoyed doing it! Now I think I am about
4 days into it & it's not really fun to wear but I am getting so I notice it on my face less. It had a humidifier as part of it, so that helps me a lot too.
If you wake up with a headache, if you wake up feeling worse than you did when you went to bed, if you are forgeful, spacey, use the wrong words, feel like you've been hit by a ttuck, snore-even just a little --- consider getting a sleep study done. Without insurance, it is really expensive, so do some calling around/price check the sleep study places.
Glad I did it. My drug use is way down. I've only had to take 1 pain med 1 time in the last 4 days. Could be just a coincidence of a remission, so I will update again in a week or so.
