Months ago some of us were discussing our foot pain along with fibro. I had been to a foot doctor 8 years ago and he couldn't find any reason for the pain. Several GP's couldn't explain it so I assumed it was caused by the fibro.
Fast forward to this year I went to a rheumytologist who told me my particular foot pain was not related to my fibro. I then went to a different foot doctor and he diagnosed me in less thah 5 minutes. I have Morton's neuromas in both of my feet. The nerve between the 3rd and 4th toes is damaged and has enlarged. I'm not explaining it too well. I tried inserts in my shoes - no relief. I tried cortizone injections in between the 3rd and 4th toes but up on the foot not actuallyon the toes, the nerve is inbetween the toes and ball of the feet.
I've now had a neuropathy test to see if there were other nerve problems up from my feet to my knees. Nothing wrong there. Now I'm getting a MRI on my feet next week and will probably end up with surgery.
I'm telling this long story for those that also think the fibromyalgia if causing pain. My feet go numb from the balls to the toe tips, they feel like pins and needles, it feels like I have a rolled uo sock or something under the balls of my feet, the are always cold etc. Look up Morton's Neuroma and see if your symptoms are like those.I hope this might help someone to find relief. They keep telling us t exercise but we really can't do much when our feet hurt 24/7.
