Hello everyone. I am new here but have been reading your posts for the past month. I have not been diagnosed yet but am pretty sure I have fibro. My mother has had it for years and kept telling me that was what I was suffering from all along. I have for the past year or so suffered from mild achiness( some days skin hurt to the touch), constantly tired ( some days took 3 hour naps), and generally felt bad.
Just in the past four months, I seem to have gotten worse. I feel as if I have the "flu" all the time. My legs and shoulders ache so bad. Not only do I constantly ache, I have begun to have sharp pains in my arms, feet, and legs. My hands and feet swell and hurt. My heating pad is now my bestfriend. Just have to choose the spot that hurts the worst on daily basis. Some days I think if this is the way I am gonna feel for the rest of my days, why get up. I am 46 and some days I feel 86.
I have been tested for ms, lupus, and rheumatoid and everything has been negative. I have read that fibro does not get progressively worse. Can anyone tell me if this is true? I am just wondering because my symptons seem to be getting worse.
I have an appointment with rheumy later this month so I guess I will have a diagnosis then.
Thanks a bunch.
