Hello everyone. I'm new to the forums, actually just finding this site yesterday while doing a symptom search and reading through some posts. My name is Tanya and I'm 32yrs old. I'm the mother of three children ages 13, 11 and 9. I'm engaged to my honey of 4yrs. My journey with whatever illness it is that I have has been a long one...I just didn't happen to know it at the time. For many years now I haven't felt well in one way or another but, like most people, I'd figure it had to do with something that was "going around" at the time, etc.

I suppose before I go backwards, let me explain the present. This past summer my back started to hurt out of the blue. I had been attending Cosmetology school for about 4mts at that time after being unemployed from a terribly high stress job for about 7mts. No injury triggered the back pain...I just stood up from my sofa and nearly dropped to my knees. I went to my local urgent care facility and was told I had sciatica/pinched nerve. I was given xrays and an MRI that were all clear. They gave me pain meds and told me to follow up with my regular doctor. I didn't have a current doctor since my insurance was through my old job and I lost it when my job was closed down. I now had insurance through the state (medical assistance). It took a while to find a doctor in my area who accepted both my ins and new patients. In the meantime, I made several trips to the urgent care facility. The pain just wouldn't stop. It felt like a steel rod was being shoved up into my spine. The pain made my buttocks ache and went down my left leg hurting all the way to my toes on that side. During one visit for the pain the doctors noticed how flushed and crappy I looked and felt. I was dizzy and nauseated. I gave a urine and blood sample and next thing I know I'm being told I have type 2 diabetes. My sugar was in the high 280s and all I'd eaten was a half of a sandwich that day.

I found a primary care physician about a month into all this and he's really wonderful. We'll call him Dr. F. My back pains slowly tapered down after he got my sugars under control with Onglyza and Glipizide and had me taking Naproxen and Soma. I missed about 6 weeks of school all together from the pain and some sickness from my first round of diabetes meds, Metformin. Tore my stomach to pieces which translated into horrid diarrhea. I had my gallbladder removed 9yrs ago and have had the bile salts diarrhea ever since. I got myself back together and school was going great until a few weeks ago. I started having back pains again and pains in my right hip. The hip was a burning pain. The pain in my back was the same "rod up the spine" feeling as before. I called Dr. F and he called me in a script for Soma (muscle relaxer). The pain got worse and the Soma did nothing. In the meantime I had an appt with my GYN for an unrelated problem with my periods being too heavy to be normal.

I went in for a consult and a yearly and got a phone call while in my second hour of being back to school after missing time for my back. I was trying my hardest to stand and do my work but I was in terrible pain. The GYN who called told me they found a uterine polyp and they wanted it biopsied the following morning. I cried and left school seeking the comfort of home and family.

I had the biopsy done the next morning which hurt. Plain and simple. I hated the GYN who performed it and so did my Mom who I took with me. I bled and cramped for days after and was out of school because of it. When I got the call with my results I was happy...for about 5 seconds. Dr. R (the GYN) said the cells were normal. Yay!!!! Right??? Nope, she missed the polyp during the biopsy that she performed twice that day, "just in case". Done with Dr. R. Que Dr. O my new GYN. Appts were made to see Dr. O the following week.

I went in to see my PCP Dr. F, told him all about the GYN visits...he wasn't pleased with Dr. R either. My back and hip were hurting worse than ever so I gave urine samples and blood and was put on Prednisone. Later that night I ended up in the ER with the most severe back pains I'd ever had. I was home, ate dinner and just started having horrid pains in my spine and right buttock area. I laid down on my bed and within a half hour every joint in my body from my toes to my shoulders ached sooooo badly! I got up to go to the bathroom, which I had to do every five mins it seemed, and my shins literally felt like they were made of glass and would shatter at any moment.

The ER gave me Oxycodone and sent me home to follow up with Dr. F, ASAP. Dr. F got my bloodwork back and said my white blood cells were high and that he sincerely believes I have an auto-immune disease. He's referring me to Dr. M (rheumatologist). In the meantime though, I have an endometrial ablation scheduled for the 24th with Dr. O. We're going to burn the lining of my uterus in order to control my out of control massacre periods.

Now, I haven't been diagnosed with anything definitive but Dr. F told me to make a symptom list of things that have been going on even if I think they aren't related to anything with my back, etc. Here's what I came up with for the most part:

Severe back pain
Burning/aching hips
Numbness/tingling in hands and feet
Left knee aches/feels hot inside (not to the touch)
Random upper back/shoulder aches
All over achiness/feeling like flu symptom aches
Unregulated sleep patterns (overly tired, can't sleep or oversleeping)
Fatigue (alllll the time)
Poor memory/concentration/foggy feeling
Flutters in chest (diagnosed yrs ago as PACs)
Extremely dry mouth (tongue scallops on the sides overnight)
Gritty eyes in the morning (not just Mr. Sandman stuff)
Headaches
Jaw pain up to my temples
Sensitivity to cold/heat (heat=nauseous cold=body locks up)
Sensitivity to loud/repetitive noise (I really go nuts and feel like my skin is crawling)
Muscle aches randomly and in different places
Irritable bowels
Frequent urination
Nausea (especially in the mornings)
Dizziness/poor balance
Itchy skin at night (lay in bed and just dig!)
Severe periods and PMS symptoms
Severe ovary area pains
Depression

There are more but you get the idea. I don't feel well and I haven't felt well for a long time. I feel like a hypochondriac when I tell people all these things that I deal with on a regular basis so I deal with it and figure it's just "normal" for me. Only now, it's much worse than it's ever been and I'm scared.

I can't wait to see Dr. M (the rheumatologist) and get some answers. I feel alone even though I have an awesome and supportive family. I "look" fine other than some circles around my eyes from my current round of insomnia. I feel guilty that I'm depending on my family so much. I shouldn't need someone to drive me to appts or to go with me in case my brain decides to glaze over and I can't form sentences like I want to. I have to use motorized carts at stores because my back and hips and general pain below my waist.

Today I could barely make my legs work. I felt like a baby deer trying to stand for the first time. My left hand didn't grasp things correctly and I felt horrible brain fog. I kept forgetting what I was talking about and kept stopping to think. I had awful diarrhea and hot flushed feelings. My body didn't want to do what I wanted it to do and that feeling was terrible.

I've been out of school except, for the 2hrs I went one day, since December. I can't stand for 8hrs like it requires. I can barely stand for 10mins without wanting to drop to the floor. Walking??? NO. I can get from the car to the door of a store and if there's no motorized scooters available, I'm going back home. I have to head to my school tomorrow to sign medical leave papers and give them my doctors notes. I feel like they think I'm a fraud. Outwardly I look fine. I have no problems doing my makeup and hair while sitting in a chair in front of a mirror.

I just feel the need to connect with other people who understand that I hurt. And if I smile once it doesn't mean that I'm all better now. One minute I'm fairly decent feeling but I can blink and all of a sudden have 1 pain or 7. Heck, sometimes I think it's all in my head and that I just need to suck it up and get over it.

Am I making any sense?????

Yes, you are making sense (unfortunately)Alot of what you said sounds very familiar.
I'm sorry you're experiencing all of these things. I really hope you can get answers soon and find out for sure if it is fibro, it definately sounds like it.
Also, have you ever heard of Sjorns'? (hope I'm spelling that right) When you mentioned dry mouth and gritty eyes, it made me think of the possibility of that in addition. I'm not a Dr of course, but it's worth looking into more.
I'm sorry you have to take a medical leave from school, but you have to come first and get your health more stablized first.
I can relate to you as far as some of your Gyn problems- mine are slightly different, but too numerous to even list. After getting nowhere with my Gyn, I'm switching and have an appt for March (can't come soon enough!) I spend at least 10-15 days a month in agony from my periods. Sometimes I say to my boyfriend, I can deal with all of this other stuff, but I've reached the end of my rope with this :(

Welcome to the forum...I'm so sorry for your pain...yes you are making sense and I do understand. You will find this forum both caring and understanding. It is not in your head, there are people who may want you to think that...you know yourself better than anyone and you deserve to get proper treatment.

Be sure to make a list of all your symptoms and any questions you have to bring to the rheumy. You are your own best advocate so it is very important to give your rheumy as much info as you can.

Your rheumy should do a thorough interview and exam along with bloodwork. Getting a diagnosis does take time so be prepared to be patient.
In the meantime, do what you can for relief. Heat seems to help the majority of us...soak in a warm bath or use the microwave moist heat pads.
Gentle stretching and walking helps...pace yourself. Distract pain by doing things you enjoy. I do deep breathing, visualization and meditation to help with stress and pain.

We are all so differant when it comes to meds...it's basically trial and error... what works for one doesn't always works for another. I'm hoping that a dx is made quicky so that you can recieve proper treatment.

Check out fibro 101 on the top of the page...lots of great info for the fibromite. I am truly sorry that you are hurting...glad you have joined us.
Keep posting with queations, comments ir just to vent...We care :)

Ask Dr F (um PCP) for a full body MRI checking for any inflammation.There are many forms of inflammation. Half of what you listed can be diabetes related. Also, with your other symptoms, there is definately something going on. Besides Sjorn's it could also be celiac. As for your heavy menstraul, I did too til I got on birth control to regulate Aunt Flo. I also have something called PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) which affects Aunt Flo.

I'm glad to meet you Amber! I have only been researching my smptoms online for a little while so I'm not familiar with Sjorns? My dry mouth is very annoying. My tongue is white, dry, pasty and scalloped along the edges in the mornings. After I brush my teeth it still doesn't feel clean. It's gross. :(

My Gyn probs had me at my wits end! I couldn't go through the pain with my back and hips AND have horrendous cramps and bleeding all at once. It was too much. I was in the ER in severe pain last Thurs and woke up early Fri bleeding and cramped. I ate Oxycodone and Motrin like M&Ms. I had two heating pads on (belly and back). I can barely turn my lower body some days and inserting tampons was becoming an olympic sport!!! I wore both tampons and pads and changed every hour. Clots were horrible. My ablation surgery is on Tuesday and I cannot wait to get it done and over with!!!

I think I feel like I need to get it over with to move on to the next stage of getting my life back...the rheumatologist. When pain is overlapping from different things it's hard to know what is coming from where and what to do.

Keep in touch! I don't have anyone around me who understands what I'm going through and the feelings of isolation are getting to me. I made my fiance take me to Walmart last night to ride in a motorized cart just to get out of the house! Lol

So nice to meet you also! And yes, I'm here to talk anytime you need to. I really symapathize with you- too well in fact ;)
I used to take up to 20 ibuprofren a day (useless) My Gyn couldn't believe it when I told her that and put me on a low dose bcp and Mobic. It has helped slightly- but I'm talking brought my pain from a 10 to a 8. still too much on top of all the other pain. My back and hips are my biggest pain area's and when I have my period I can do nothing but lay with a heating pad, writhe in agony and cry. It shoots into my groin and legs too. Nothing gives me any relief. My gyn said it's dysmoria (sp?) but doesn't seem too concerned or interested in other solutions. She doesn't even return my calls for 3 days and it's never her, it's a nurse. I'm at my wits end and can't wait until my new Gyn appointment. Good luck with your eblation- I hope it helps!

Hi, 2thebitterend, and welcome!  I'm so glad you found us and joined the family.  Much of what you talked about are things that happen with fibro...and also diabetes.  I'm diabetic, too.  I couldn't take Metformin either...did a number on my kidney function.  But I now am on Glyburide and am doing nicely.  Keeping the diabetes under control will help a lot.  We do have a wonderful Diabetes forum on HealingWell, too!

 

Be sure to read Fibro 101...the second thread on the forum.  There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot there.  Good starting links are called Symptoms, What Else Could It Be, and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia.  You just might see yourself there.

I'm sooo glad to hear from ya'll!!! I'm keeping a "diary" of how I feel/symptoms I'm having each day to take to the rheumy. Yesterday was my worst day in terms of my body just not responding to what I wanted it to do. My limbs felt like they were extra heavy??? And a bit desensitized yet achy???

I'm going to read all the sticky posts and soak up all the info that I can. I like being well informed so that I can ask intelligent questions and not just ramble like I seem to do very well. Lol

My diabetes is well controlled with my meds as long as I take them on schedule. Seems like even with a little time difference my body gets out of whack. My sugars off the meds are in the high 200s. On my meds they hover around 110. Anything below 95 and I lose fine control of my hands and start to feel shaky all over. I do understand that some of my symptoms can be diabetes related but my pcp does believe I have an auto-immune disease also he just doesn't know exactly which one(s). I'll def be checking out the diabetes forum!

Help with the pain...HEAT, CHECK! Borrowed my Moms large heating pad and bought a heating pad with a moist pad you can insert. (You wet a pad, wring it out then put it inside the heating pad for moist heat.) Hot showers and baths, God's gift to mankind. Lol I take Oxycodone every 4hrs and Naproxen twice a day usually (not right now since I'm pre-op for my ablation surgery so I can only supplement with Tylenol). Also, the Prednisone has kept my right hip from burning so badly. It aches still but that burning really hurt!

Thanks for all the tips and encouraging words. You have no idea how much it means to me that ya'll took time out of your lives to respond to me. I think I'd prefer any pain in the world to the pain of loneliness and this illness, whatever it ends up being, has had me feeling lonely. Then I feel guilty for feeling lonely and selfish. It's a vicious cycle. I'm going to look into some therapy or support groups once I get through my surgery next week and rest from that.

I am certainly not a doctor, just someone with prescription med experience and I am NOT telling you to stop the meds, but some of the symptoms you describe can be side effects of prescription medication. Pain meds can cause dry mouth, as well as antidepressants and other medications, which can result in a tongue like you describe. Years ago, I was on Elavil, used to treat fibromyalgia "back in the day" and some still use it. I didn't realize it was causing dry mouth; yes I knew my mouth felt dry, but I didn't put the two together. After many months, I developed several abscesses in my mouth and had to have four teeth removed!! There is a simple answer to this...keep your mouth moist at all times. There are products on the market now for dry mouth, something as simple as chewing sugar free gum can help or just drinking water. By the way, there are members here who do use Elavil and have had no dry mouth problems.
It's good you are working with a GYN...read about endometriosis and PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome... you might find some similarities there.

Sciatica or sacroiliac joint dysfunction seems to happen to alot of fibro folks. Also Raynaud's and Sjogren's are common.

All of it sounds soo familiar. Make sure your rheumy gets a list of symptoms (I prioritize them from worst to least annoying) and listens. It takes time to get a dx, hang in there

I swear I hope the new Gyn is better!!! My first Gyn Dr. R was terrible. We were going through my "options" for treatment of my heavy bleeding, etc and with my diabetes, elevated blood pressure and history of depression I wasn't a good candidate for many of the options. I tried pills, they had no effect on my cycle and made me sick to my stomach. My cycle has always been like clockwork just painful and super heavy. And now they're lasting 8 days or more. Starts heavy and bright red, gets heavier and deep red, slows and stays darker then gets bright red and heavy then spots bright red for days. And the clotting...oh my. So my options were the Depo shot, the Mirena IUD or the Ablation procedure (obviously we're trying to avoid a hysterectomy).

I had a tubal ligation done 9yrs ago after my 3rd child was born so birth control was never on my mind anymore. I've always been in stable relationships, first with my ex husband who I had been with for 14yrs then with my current fiance of 4yrs. So let me tell you when she told me about the shot, IUD and ablation...I had questions. I had heard of the shot and had an idea what an IUD was, never heard of an ablation at all.

I asked her to please explain each one to me and she replied and I'm pretty much quoting word for word here, "Mirena is an IUD." *blank stare at me* *I nod for her to continue* Then she continues to look me in the face and says, "It's been on tv." And she stops talking like she just revealed all the worlds secrets to me.

I tell her that I'm aware of the concept of it but I'd like a bit more of the clinical explanation to which she replies, "I'll get you a pamphlet or something before you leave."

I was really unhappy with her. I had my yearly pap done that day and pretty much knew I never wanted to go back to her after that. I had a vaginal ultrasound done that day by a nice tech...hurt very badly though. If it wasn't for them finding the polyp and wanting the biopsy done right away I wouldn't have gone back to Dr. R. Then she scrapes my cervix twice and still misses the polyp. When she tells me she missed it she didn't even say sorry. She said, "I missed the polyp during the biopsy or maybe it wasn't there to begin with. What you need to do now is choose what option you wanna go with out of the shot, the IUD or the ablation. Have you decided yet?"

Ummm...no. I let her know I would no longer need her services and I hung up. I called back and asked for the office manager, explained things and got an appt for the following week with Dr. O. He's a very nice man who has been at that office for a long time. Come to find out, Dr. R is new there and not getting good reviews. I never complained badly or slung mud I just simply said, I don't believe Dr. R is the right Gyn for me...we didn't seem to click. Dr. O sat me and the fiance down and went over every option for me and told me that it was my decision but in his opinion as my Gyn the ablation seemed my best bet and he told my fiance that if it were his wife he would support this option over the others.

I'm due for the Novasure ablation procedure using radio waves to "burn" the uterus lining. about 90% of patients get pantyliner periods afterwards. I've never used a pantyliner even for my spotting days!!! Some patients get bloodless periods, you get symptoms but no blood at all...but that's more rare. I'm fine with very light bleeding. Geeze. Lol

I can barely leave the house for the first like 3 days of my cycle. The flooding and cramping are terrible. Motrin every 6hrs and Tylenol every 4hrs. Heating pads and crying. I had even resorted to taking my Soma (muscle relaxers) that I had left over from my back pains the first time.

I'd love to listen to more of your story!

MT Lady, thank you for your response. The dry mouth has actually been there long before any of the meds. Years. I just found out about the diabetes in summer after the back pains so I wasn't taking anything except Motrin/Tylenol as needed but I def understand the point of your reply and appreciate it. I've been using mouth rinse for dry mouth (can't think of the name of it but it says dry mouth on the bottle). I don't drink enough fluids, never been a "drinker". I use small kids size glasses or share a larger drink with my fiance. I have been trying to drink more water and it helps during the day...overnight is what gets me. I have to stop drinking an hour before bed or I will wake up at all hours to pee, kidneys aching like I drank a gallon of water and held it. I've wet the bed from drinking a glass of water before falling asleep and dreaming of searching for a toilet. I have that dream a lot. It's embarassing. I have very dry skin also. It will crack open and bleed. I suppose a dermatologist appt couldn't hurt???

Bayoub2, thank you for your response as well. I also listed my symptoms from the most severe to the least. It's on a piece of paper in my purse. I keep it with me to jot things down during the day. I try and be objective about the list and not immediately add every little thing but at the same time I want to make sure I'm not missing anything that could help me get diagnosed.

I'm so glad I'm hearing from everyone! Such great thoughts and energy here!!!

Omg, I really feel for you, I'm so sorry you've had to suffer so much too.
I'm so glad you decided to see another Dr.
Sometimes Dr's just don't have enough experience and then there are some that just don't have alot of empathy- sounds like she didn't have very much of either.
My Dr now is very knowledgeable, but I just feel like she's not getting it or understanding just how bad the pain is and how I'm basically bed ridden and incapacitated for at least 10, if not more days of the month. She's very laid back and not agressive enough in her approach, and I'm to the point that I'm desperate. I've been on the phone with her nurses crying on several occasions, and have told them that I just don't understand, doesn't she want to do an ultrasound or anything to even see what could be causing this much pain?? She hasn't even checked for endometreosis or anything. Just says it dysmoria (sp)which basically just means excrutiatingly painful periods. I've always had painful periods, but not anywhere near to this degree- it's unbearable and there has to be a reason it would be this bad.
She put me on a low dose bcp and it has helped a *tiny* bit with the pain, between that and the mobic, but now my problem is I get 2 or sometimes three periods in month so I'm pretty much dealing with this horrible pain for at least 10-15 days a month. They kept telling me it should become regulated on it's own after 3 months, but I'm going into the 5th month and it's still just as sporadic as ever.
I told her once that I knew it sounded crazy but I want to have a hysterectomy. She said we're not there yet. And I know it sounds drastic, but I'm deperate. I already have cervical dysplasia and it was in the stage before cancer, so she did a LEEP procedure which burns the cells- I have to have it checked again in 6 months,.... plus uterine cancer runs in my family. My Mother had severe endometreosis and ovarian cyst's and she had a hysterectomy. I told her with all of that, plus how much pain I'm in, I'd rather just have it done and be safe rather than sorry.
So I'll see what this new Dr says. I'm ready to pull out my hair. I can deal with alot, but this is just too much!
So I really know where you're coming from. I hope that the ablation works for you. A friend of mine had that done years ago and the results were really good for her. Keep us posted and hang in there!
Hey, look at it this way, one of the hardest things is feeling like you're going crazy or you're alone, and you found us! So we'll be here to help you along until you get the rest figured out :)

God I really hope you get some answers and help soon!!! Sometimes I feel like as soon as we say the word "period" it's a conversation ender. Like everything in the world falls under "normal" because it's a "period" and those things just have to run their course and as women we just have to grin and bear it because women have had periods forever. Bah. We can send men to the moon but don't wanna help a girl out with her cramps.

I just got back home from traveling up to my school and signing a medical leave paper and handing in my doctors notes. I miss a bunch of the girls there! It was good to see them, however brief of a visit it was. Mrs. L, my administrator, was sympathetic and told me she would do everything she could to keep my spot in school and to keep me on medical leave until when (and if) I'm able to return. If I'm not able to come back I'll still owe my tuition for the entire year...sucks. (Keeping my fingers crossed.)

My sons will be home from school in about ten minutes and I would really love to lay down and take a nap but oh well. lol Mommys work is never done, no matter how you feel that day. One of my biggest problems is sleep these days. I slept about 4 hours last night between like midnight and 4ish in the morning. I've been up ever since. My pain is at a minimum right now and I can't tell you how good it feels after yesterday being so horrible. I kept on my Oxycodone schedule of every four hours today...sometimes I try and wait six hours between if the pain isn't bad but something just told me to keep it on the schedule the doctor had written on the bottle.

This weekend the kids go to their fathers house so it'll just be me and my fiance. I'm really hoping to feel decent so I can get out of the house for a while. I try and get him to take me to places like Walmart that have the scooter carts so that I get to walk a little bit from the car to the store and not have to worry about overdoing it because I can hop on the scooter when I start to hurt too badly.

Well, the phone just rang and it was the same day surgery center. They said that the Doctor forgot to have some of my pre-op testing done the other day and that I have to come in first thing Monday morning for some more blood work and an EKG because of my diabetes history. *sigh* Surgery can't be over fast enough. lol

Well, let me get off here and make the boys something to snack on before dinner while I feel good enough to stand up for that long. lol My daughter is off to a church game night and she normally helps me out with her brothers since she's 13. I don't know what I'd do without her!!!

That's nice that your admininistrator was so nice and understanding. Hopefully you'll be able to return after you get everything sorted out with your health.
Hopefully this weekend you feel good enough to get out for awhile.
With the cold weather and snow (I'm in Wisconsin) I get out maybe 4-5 times a month and that's including Dr's appointments :O I know, I'm a party animal lol :)
Hope all of your pre-op testing goes well on Monday. And definately keep me posted on how your surgery goes Tuesday.

Ugh!!! Cold weather and snow!!! Booooooo!!! Lol. I despise cold and snow. I live in Maryland and we're currently having a very mild winter with temps going up to the 60's some days and dropping to the 30's some days. Crazy weather. You can absolutely ask my name! I'm Tanya (pronounced Tahhhn-ya NOT like the country singer Tanya Tucker lol) Heat makes me sick to my stomach and cold makes my body lock up and my jaw clench painfully.

I get out a few times a week including Dr appts. I can't stay in the house. I try and visit my Mom once a week (even when I was in school since I had off Sundays and Mondays). She lives about ten mins away and shares a home with her husband and her brother so I get to see my Step-Dad and Uncle as well.

I'm constantly at a store for something or other that we need with the help of the trusty scooters that I call rolly carts. (I dunno why? Lol) We hit up Redbox almost every night and we have Netflix so we watch a lot of movies at night after the kids go to bed at 8pm. My fiance and I used to each manage a Blockbuster Video store (it's how we met) so movies have always been a part of our relationship. We used to go out to the movie theater but the noise is just too loud for me. It irritates me so badly and I always have to pee!!! Lol And geeze it's gotten expensive!

My Fiance, Jon, is making meatloaf for dinner and it smells sooo good!!! I'm laying down in bed for a while since he's home and the boys are straightening their room. My hip decided to say hello and start aching a little bit. I'm sooooooo sleepy but my brain just won't shut down. Stupid Oxycodone. Lol. Makes me talk too much but I forget what I'm saying and end up sounding like a crackhead. LOL!!!!!!!!!!

As far as your tongue symptoms, they may be what's called "geographic tongue". You can google if you want more info on it.

Hey Tanya,
Yeah, this winter has been really bad for me. I am so achey and sore the past 2 days. Hips, back, inside of my knees. I can't get comfotable when I sleep and wake up so achey after about 2 hrs. Haven't had a decent nights sleep in I don't know how long. I sleep in 2-3 hr stretches, get up, move around a little cause I get so stiff, then try to get a few more hours.
This past week has been really bad. 3 snow storms so far. It's been snowing all day again today, so I'm really feeling it.
I bundle up with layers, and blankets and even an extra space heater and I'm still freezing!!
I've been really lazy today, too achey to do much besides laundry.
It starts making me depressed when I don't do much, so I'm going to bake cookies and clean the kitchen.
Yeah, movies are an almost every night thing for us, or shows. Told ya, I like to live on the edge! lol
That's nice that your fiance' is making dinner and you can relax for a bit.
I guess I'd better get to baking and get off the computer lol

Thanks for the welcome and the post. I Googled it and it's not what I have. My tongue is normal, no bumps or lesions. It's pinky red and healthy during the day, just slightly dry. In the morning it's pale pink/white coated, very dry and pasty tasting and the very edge of my tongue scallops like a sideways 'C' shape. Like a sponge left sitting to dry by the sink. My throat is scratchy and sore feeling as well.

I appreciate the thought though!!!!!

Sorry for all the crappy weather and pains! I hear you about getting depressed if you don't do something. I take my pain meds at dinner time and after I eat I do the dishes, wipe the table and sweep the floor. I'll throw laundry in if it's a decent meds vs pain day. I'm 5ft 1in tall so bending for the washer and dryer sometimes hurts too much. That's about all the energy I have so after that it's sofa time.

We don't have cable so we watch our shows on Netflix. What shows do ya'll watch??? Some of our favs are Sons Of Anarchy, Bones, American Chopper, CSI, NCIS, Parking Wars...

We watch The office, Big bang theory, Hoarders, Oddities, Storage wars and a few other's. Usually a movie though.
I hear ya, most days I manage to do alot more, just the past few days have been rough.
My "good" time of day is in the later afternoon. Usually between 2-4 is when I get the most done. After about 8, I become a couch patato :)
The cookies turned out really good- chocolate chip.
Well, my boyfriend will be home any minute, so I better start getting a late dinner made. Will add my email so if you want, you can email me whenever.
Usually not on the computer this much.

I read about Sjorngrens Syndrome (sp?) it is an autoimmune disorder where a person's body attacks anything in the body that produces moisture. I think you should check into this as well as read all the fine print about side effects of your medications & do a little detective work for yourself (we all need to do this, not depend on doctors to do this because many won't)
