Just wanted to update everyone. My doctor diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia today. He wrote a letter to the rheumatologist asking him to see me before March. To make a long story short because I'm having a really bad night, he put me on 5mg of Flexeril 3 times a day and Elavil 10mg at bedtime. Hoping for the best. Will update in the morning. It's like a weight is lifted usually when we finally get a diagnosis.  It finally give us validation for what we have been saying.  I hope the medication helps you and you are better today.

Yes Sherrine, that's exactly how it felt! I have mixed feelings on the meds so far but I'm only one day in so I'll keep an open mind before forming my real opinion. Thanks for the well wishes!!!

Elavil caused me to snap & cuss at my kids(I have no idea why) but I tell you, I CUSSED! That was only the 2nd or 3rd day. So I stopped taking that. I take Flexeril, mainly at bedtime.

Maybe some of your questions are answered now. I know it made a huge difference finding this site. I wish I have found this forum when I got diagnosed. I learned more here then my Dr. ever told me. Hopefully you will find the treatment plan that works for you sonn.
