Angel, please accept my sincere condolences. This has been a horrible time for you. Losing a parent is incredibly difficult and it has to be even worse when you aren't home with your main family support system. I'm so glad you can speak with your therapist and that your husband is heading down to help you. I'm so sorry you are going through this.
But, your father is at peace now and is not suffering. I hope this thought gives you peace, too. Remember, he didn't die...his body did. He has passed on to something more wonderful than we can imagine and he is totally healthy again. I needed to visualize this when my parents and my husband passed on. I know in my heart we will be together again.
Soon you will be back home. No matter where you live, how hot or how cold, how damp or how humid....it's still home and feels so wonderful. Meanwhile, we are here for you. We all have been through times like this and we do manage to come through with flying colors. Just rest, don't try to handle everything yourself (since we fibromites seem to be perfectionists) and also ignore any relatives who are being jerks. Somehow, some do come out of the woodwork. Just remain calm and handle what you can by pacing yourself. Know in your heart that you have gone through all of this for your father. You are a wonderful daughter, cared for your father, and did all you could for him. Now it's time to take care of yourself.
Many prayers are heading your way.
Sherrine
