Hi, B2308, and welcome!I"m so glad you found us and joined in. I don't take the "heavy" medication for fibro. I use ibuprofen with food, extra strength Tylenol, malic acid/magnesium supplements, vitamin D3 supplements, and a natural product called Curamin. All this helps me be in control of my pain. I also do gentle stretching exercises, gentle daily exercises (I walk and swim. Yoga is another good one for fibro), I pace myself and I get gentle massages once a month. All this combined keeps me in control of the pain...unless I have a flare. Like you, I don't want to deal with side effects of medications. I have had reactions in the past so that's always in the back of my mind.
