Hi, Emmaline, and welcome! A vitamin D deficiency can cause more pain and fatigue but it' probably isn't causing all the pain you are describing. I take 5,500 IU of D3 and have been for several years but still have pain. BUT the pain is better. As the D gets in your system, you probably will feel a little better.
Everyone is different as to what helps with their pain with fibro. We just have to try things to see what works. I use ibuprofen, extra strength Tylenol, Malic acid/magnesium supplements, vitamin D3 supplements, and an alternative product called Curamin to help with my pain and fatigue. I also take a prescription muscle relaxer caller Robaxin that helps me too.
I also do gentle daily exerciese like walking or swimming. I pace myself when doing things, and I also get gentle massages. All of this helps me be in control of fibro instead of fibro being in control of me. Yes, I have pain but I've learned to ignore it as much as possible.
I don't talk about how I feel either. No one will understand unless they live with chronic pain, too. So the best thing you can do is do your best and live as normally as you can. Your husband will be able to tell when you aren't feeling well. My daughter does. I will be making dinner and she can tell by my body language if I'm feeling good or not. Now, if I talked about fibro and how I'm feeling a lot, she would tune me out.
Be sure to read Fibro 101...the second thread on the forum. There are links to good info about fibro and you will learn a lot there. Good starting links are called Symptoms and A Thorough Explanation of Fibromyalgia. All the links are good so do check them out. Knowledge is power.
By the way, I deleted two posts of yours because they said the same thing as this post. Sometimes that happens. Guess there is a glitch in the system.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better. Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you. Hope to hear more from you soon.
