Good Morning and welcome! I don't think we have spoken before, so welcome to the family.
I'm glad you're getting in to see the rheumy on Tues, hopefully s/he can help you. I would suggest you check out 'Fibro 101' and go over all the info that Sherrine compiled, but especially look at List of Fibro Symptoms. Print out a copy and check off ALL the ones that apply to you. You may be surprised at how many symptoms you have.
I would also suggest you list what meds/ supplements you have tried and if anything helped. At each of my dr visits, I bring a list of my meds & doses, supplements, conditions, other drs., etc. This way I don't have to struggle to remember any important info the dr may need to know.
Re the forgotten meds, I used to make up the medicine box for my mother. When my DH and I started having so many meds to take, I enlisted boxes to help us remember. You can find the boxes in a drug store or even Walmart. These boxes cover 1 week or even 2, they have for 1 set of daily pills, or up to 4 sets of daily pills. They are a big help and keep you from 'forgetting' or taking too many. They don't cost much, cpl of dollars.
I have always loved to read, but I find I forget what the beginning of the article is about, too. I can remember conversations verbatim that I had when I was a child, yet I can't remember why I just walked into this room. Conversations are fun, too. I often use the wrong word or can't find the word I want to say. Ppl will sit there waiting so politely for me to continue, and I would, if only I could remember what the heck I was talking about. Sometimes, I feel I have the IQ of a potato. Gotta love it.
I don't sleep well, I never have. This has been a problem since I was a child. I went to school on about 2 hrs sleep, K - college. Not much has changed. I'm still very, very tired.
I hope you have a good dr that can help you. And I hope you have a very good day today.
God bless. Alice.
