FATIGUE IS A SYMPTOM RIGHT??

I have plenty of energy? I am never tired? I don't have any of the pressure points? Two doctors say..definately Fibro? Say..that the pressure points are no longer a diagnosis? I hurt all over ( sometimes in the arms ) but very rarely. Mostly in the legs and they really hurt. But I keep on fighting with the facts that I have plenty of energy. That just my arms and legs hurt?

Buffy- I was wondering does your pain happen after you sat for a long time? Do you have any other fibro symptom besides the pain? I know I use to have horrible pains in my legs and I always just thought it was fibro. After getting a pulmonary blood clot I was started on blood thinners. After taking them for awhile I realize the pain in my legs were gone. I ended up with a clotting disorder and my blood wasn't flowing right. I just wanted to tell you this because it's so easy for dr's to say it's fibro. It could very well be, but I would do some more homework.

From what you are saying, you really didn't have all the testing done that most of us have.  They take many vials of blood, x-rays and sometimes MRI's to help rule out other illnesses.  Many of the same symptoms of fibro are like other illnesses.  In Fibro 101 there is a link called What Else Could It Be.  That will give you some idea as to what they are trying to rule out.

 

The Tender Point Test is used but not all of us have a specific number of tender points.  Some have more than others so it really isn't a great diagnostic tool but it's the only one they have right now.

 

I have some fatigue but not extreme fatigue...unless I totally overdo.  But, as everything, not everyone has the bad fatigue with fibro.  There is a list called Symptoms on Fibro 101.  You might want to reread that and see if this fits  you.

 

I do hope you get some answers.  That's hard to deal with.
