lumps

 hi guys, good to be back in after a break. sorry had some bad times with surgry, headaches that didnt quit and well, i know you can all relate, as i have read all the hard times you have all gone through......

But this is a spesific question to Sherrine......... i remember a thread you posted a while ago about the fact you have lumps at the base of your head.( the top of your neck area) i also have those lumps in the same place, my massuse finds them offen.... But when i ask doctors to find them they are clueless......

My question to you is, could they be from long term medication use? or could they be from something else fibro related? i also have lost an ovary due to cists. So  could it be some people naturally store these toxins in there system that build up over time to create lumps??????? i worry about them at times for i was very sick for 2 year on the hep c interfon treatment. I never fully recuperated, and after 2 years of doctors, i finally was ds with fibro............... i have been and read on that formum but you are the only person that has had the same syptom as me.....

Any input would be very appricated............

And as a follow up on the new drug i was put on. I did not take it again. My husbands uncle is a nero phyocologist, and he said that in parkinsons it has caused psychosis in paitents, that could be because it is a anti psychotic drug used for schizophrenia...... so not going back to that.......interesting though that they think it will benifit fibro.

I havent told my rumey that i wont take it.... he is a bit of a hard crap, i think it must be in the training...

i will apologise for spelling, ranting, im am having so much truble with my conitive functioning................it takes me a half an hour to write a simple letter,i hate there is no spell check here...............im only 43, an my brain feels 80.

Thanks Karen, wow that sounds scary to me!! especialy if they say there are no visible symptoms. To me, couldnt they caterize that as a symptom.....

HI, Azumi!  Sorry I didn't get to this sooner.  I was suffering from a partial bowel obstruction yesterday and nearly landed in the hospital.  But all worked out fine.  God is good!

 

Well, the lumps (knots) are muscle knots...at least mine are.  They are at the base of my skull...one on each side usually.  If you massage them they will get smaller and you will have less neck and head pain.  You have muscles that run up your skull and when they get knotted, you will find the lump.  I press on them as hard as I can tolerate, then massage.  Then press again and massage again.  They will smooth out and you will feel better.

 

I have lumps on my arms and legs but I believe these are lymph nodes that may be swollen a little.  We are always fighting off things in our bodies.  When I first found one it frightened me but then I check the other side of my body and found them there, too.  So, I stopped worrying about it.  You have lymph nodes all over your body to help fight off illnesses.  Below is a link about them.

Thanks guys for getting back to me.. Deepwell you explained what the drug was for in great detail. so much better than my reumy who said its a trail and when i asked about the side afferct he just said, everything gives you side affects, so i tried and like i posted i was so sick and did not know what was going on. I had every side affect listed on the pamphlet...
Sorry it took so long for me to get back to all of your great coments, i had to travel 4 Hrs to a city called adelaide to see another doc....everything you all said made perfect sense and for years of having no answers, you have all taken alot of stress and worry of my shoulders, THANK YOU... :)
Sherrine im so sorry to here about your triles to of late, i know from everything i have read that you are a stong woman that takes all that is thown at you with so much courage and grace, my positve thoughts for you and i know you will be feeling fantaastic in that sunshine in no time...
