{as I have said recently before, I've managed to knock my Fibro down into 90-95% remission for the last couple years, but I know it's still there, because of little things like this.....}

For several weeks now, I have had a few spots on my chest, and stomach where, if I rub my hand across my skin, it will suddenly feel like I have a needle stuck into me ! Granted, I work the heck out of my pectoral muscles, and my abs, on a regular basis.... but this is not a deep, musclular pain. This feels like its right under the skin > surface pain ? Of course, to look at my stomach or chest, you would not see any bruising, red marks, etc.

Typical fibro nerve pains I guess. Just wondering how many of you get these. I've had these same pains in the past, under my arms... on my legs, etc.

Fortunately, it's not constant, but if I rub the wrong way, it sure gets my attention in a hurry !

I haven't had these same exact feelings but I notice sharp pains on the side of my ribs and on my iliac crest (top of hip bones). I'm going to post a topic in reference to these feelings also.

I get those sharp pains. I think of them as needle pricks or even insect stings, but despite the pain, there is never any outward sign of them. I have no idea what causes them.

I get those pains also..

CWR311, I get the side pain and Dr said it is fibro, I get a burning pain in my ribs also. The sharp pain comes and goes almost to the point I though it was my appendix, but it was fibro...

Much thanks guys.

Ya' know, ever since I found this forum, and started posted about various, weird, and unexplainable Fibro symptoms I've had, I don't think one single time did nobody here experience those same weird symptoms.

So check this out....
As of today, I haven't had the pins and needles in my chest or stomach once yet. Instead, I'm getting the same stabbing pain through my left big toe !!! Now how freaking goofy is that !
Yesterday I did my 4.4 mile, 1000ft hill climb / run {kicks my arse every time} and my feet (which killed me for years) are fine. So is the rest of my legs / body.
Only my big freaking toe !
Just goofy, right ?

Freaking Fibro.....

It is a goofy illness, Chris.  I've had the pins and needles symptom, I've had stabbing pain and burning pain occasionally.  For me, it doesn't hang around long.  It happens and then it will go away but usually something else pops up.  I even sometimes feel like water is running down my leg and also a sensation like I sat in some water.  It's always on my butthip area that I get that wet sensation.  This goes away too and none of these are a daily problem for me.  BUT we all are different as to how fibro affects us and also what helps us with fibro.  Once we figure that out for ourselves, we do quite well with this illness.

Hi Fish,

My pain in my big toe is a bad burning sensation which also effects the bottom of my feet. This hurts the most at night to the point where I cannot have anything touching my toe at all. Most of the time, I have to hang my left foot off the bed. Strange isn't it? All the best.

I have found a pedicure hurts to get with all the rubbing, but in the end if I deal with helps sooooo much :-)
