Starting last October, I started feeling joint pain all over my body that was ultra sensitive to cold. I told my doctor as she took a blood test and sent me to get an x-ray. Both the blood test and the x-ray came back negative. I was really disappointed but I jut moved on....
Then in January(January 2 to be exact) I started experiencing chronic chest pain and shortness of breath. I went back to my doctor and ruled out asthma and other symptoms, but the pain continued. Eventually I went to a cardiologist who said my heart was healthy and there was nothing wrong with. I also got a chest x-ray and everything came back negative. I spent the next 5 weeks with chronic chest pain, shortness of breath and just extreme agitation. Along with this, I had thoughts. I went back to school in February and talked to the school psychatrist who put me on Ativan and Zoloft. One is a benzo used to treat anxiety and the other is a anti-depressant. Everything was okay until the beginning of may....
Starting in May, I started experiencing a lot more pain and even more shortness of breath. I went completely insane because of the pain and tried to . Because of this, I had to involuntary spend two weeks in a psych ward where they made me quit Ativan cold turkey. The next two weeks were hell because of Ativan withdrawal. I also quit zoloft myself because I just didn't want to be on it. So now I am in a state of limbo. I still fee pain and I don't know what to do about
it.
Just today, I was looking at Fibromylagia symptoms and found out that Costochondritis(chest pain) is a symptom. I realize that I fit right it. I feel the pain when I am sitting and it includes shortness of breath. It also explains the joint pains that didn't have a cause.
So, should I talk to a different doctor about
this? I am really hopeless because I no one can figure out the cause of my pain and shortness of breath.
