Spine Pain

Just a quick question here do any of you experiance severe pain in your spine with your fibro? this is not the common back pain which is quite painful also but this is actual pain in the spine bone itself .

I think there are quite a few people on the boards here who have separate spine issues from Fibro.

You need to see a Board Certified Neurosurgeon or Board Certified Orthopedic surgeon and let them do the appropriate testing like a MRI of the effected area and this way you can get appropriate treatment if there is an issue.

As other threads have stated....we can unfortuantely have other issues going on that need to be attended to that have nothing to do with Fibromyalgia.

It's always important to go see the Dr. to find out if it is Fibro or something else.

I have quite a lot of spine issues that I have had to deal with over the years but thankfully have a great Neurosurgeon and PM to help with this.

I just found out about my facet joints degeneration L5/S1 after havin severe constant pain for  many months.  Ive always attributed it to Fibro but after searchin for more info with fellow Fibromites, most who have such issues are usually somethin else.

We suggest you have your spine examined by a Chiropractor, Pain Specialist or Rheumy, have an x-ray or MRI if necessary to make sure its not somethin serious.

I have spine problems too. Not sure if it is related to the fibro or not. I have been having alot of back problems since I fell and landed mostly on my left hip in April.  I was diagnosed in june with Fibro.
