My doctor put me on this last week. She said its an older med but helps with the fibro pain as well as migraines.
Its been a week so far and the side effects for me are extreme dry mouth, drowsiness (i take it about 3 hours before bed), loss of appetite and fogginess later in the day. I still have the usual underlying pains but it seems to help the surface pain. Oh, and i had a massive migraine yesterday that shut me completely down

I was just wondering if anyone else has been on this med and if it helped?

I used to take it at bedtime, I did not notice any side effect except it helped me sleep, very, very, deep sleep. I halfed my sleeping pill because I was having such solid sleep Hubby said he would talk to me and I responded but had no memory of it.

I am thinking of having my doctor renew my prescription because it helped take the edge off.

I take 1 tablet about 2hrs before bed, it has taken the edge off the severe sciatic pain in my left leg. I have been on it for about 12 months, the doctor originally told me it needs to build up in your system and could take about 6 weeks to feel the full effects. The only side affect I have is a very dry mouth which I don't mind because it reminds me to drink my water. I still have the fatigue during the day but at least I am not waking every 1/2 hour at night.

Hi ozzieshaz, (i hope that means ur a fellow australian?)

It works realy well for me...Its only makes you that sleepy in the first couple of months then it becomes easier....I stop it when i first started taking it because i put on 5 kg shakehead  but the pain came back so strong i went straight back on it...It does not help my tmj or headaches, but the other overall pain is so much better and i sleep better also smilewinkgrin   I dont know why these tablets make you gain wieght because my diet is the same with a loss of appitite because i have inflamation of the stomack confused ......

Give them a go for a few months, i think you will feel the improvement.... smurf

I take 12.5 mg. I tried to up it to 25 mg, and it made me really nauseous the next day.

I am on 25mg, i do sleep well, i just hope to adjust soon because the grogginess gets in the way of me performing my job. I have been so out of it at work. The dry mouth does make me drink more water which is good. I hate to take meds but the pain is unbearable so i guess i will have to deal with the side effects until i can figure something else out.

Maybe you could ask for a lesser dose, I was only on 10 mg, like I said it helped me sleep and after a couple of weeks the morning groginess went away.

I will try to cut them in half, but the pills are tiny..

I only got a script for 10mgs , no wonder ur so out of it u poor thing. I would of been zonked to... Be careful cutting pills in half, it can cut the effects so I've been told :).....
