Soooo Tired

I know it's common to be tired when you have fibromaylgia. But the past 3or 4 days I have been unusually tired. I do whatever chores need to be done and then I'm completely wiped out. I don't understand. I have had a problem being tired just never to this degree. I feel like all I want to do is go to bed. I don't think it's depression I haven't been unhappy. Quite the opposite. so I go and do things like laundry and dishes and as soon as I'm done I'm fighting to stay awake. I also am constantly craving chocolate. I don't know if there is a correlation with the two but I really need some advice. I just want my energy level back it wasn't the greatest but it beats this!

Have you been getting regular exersize and Magnesium, D and B Vitamins? Deep breathing exersizes also help and if it gets any worse go see your doctor to make sure you are not having blood sugar problems.

Keep pacing yourself and continue to get rest. I often find if I sleep too much, I don't have as much energy. Though there could be a connection with the two.

Do you take vitamin D3? The days are getting shorter and I have been more tired too because of that. I upped my vitamin D3 to 5000 iu a day. It really does help. Try walking a little too if you can get out and do that. It boosts our endorphines and makes us feel better and energized.

I do agree with everyone else but I know personally I was actually still am dealing with extreme fatigue. I get exhausted thinking about getting up, lol.

I thought and my doctor did as well fibro flare either coming, going, but I asked for blood work up including lupus, thyroid and Lyme. I have never been this tired in my life, and I have hypothyroid.

I am just saying its easy to blame fibro for everything but sometimes we should look elsewhere. I am slowly starting to feel a little better but had I not pushed my doctor I would still be falling asleep sitting up and waking up exhausted.

I hope for you it's just a vitamin boost needed, my doctor tod me a few months ago to increase my vit d to 2000 ui and I would feel better.

Sounds like SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder).
You get it because you don't have enough sunshine in the winter and early spring.
Get you a SAD light box to use this season.

I have had recent blood work done and they checked for everything, even a long list of drugs. I don't know if they thought I was a drug user or what but nothing but my pain pills showed up. They also did a cat scan and nothing there either. All of this was done about a month ago so it was before I became so tired suddenly. but I would imagine that nothing has changed. All I can do Is take the advice given and see what happens. I'm just terrified that I won't beable to work as a result of it. The pain is bad enough at times but batteling sleepiness like this is something new. I am just so glad that I found this forum and all of you here. I feel like I have a place finally where people understand what I am going through so thanx : )

I'm not trying to sound like a wuss but,streatching for me is very painful. I know I need to do it and I used to do yoga and go running every day. Now I am able to still do alot but when I go to streatch it feels like someone is taking a knife and slicing through my mucels. I go as slow as I can and take deep breathes but nothing but pain. It has made me somewhat fearful because of how sharp the pain can be. I have been athletic my whole life and trying to adjust to having fibromayalgia is not easy at all. I'm sure many of you understand. Walking is something that I find the easiest to do. As far as sleeping goes I am on medication to help with that.every night is diffrent sometimes you feel rested and sometimes you don't it just depends!

I have tryed not having Fibro as well and people like my Dr for example tell me that I'm in denial. I have tryed to explain that I am not in denial at all. I am fully aware that I have it I just try to live my life as normal as possible and I will be the first to admitt doing that at times has caused me to think as if I don't and I end up hurting so badly. I don't do well with change and having to change my daily activities due to having Fibro made me really angry at first and I refused to make any changes. After so many weeks and months of being in extreme pain, I definately slowed down. It's still really difficult though, I am one of those who like to get out and do what ever needs to be done wether at work or at home and typically never ask for help. Now sometimes I do have to ask for help, I still don't like it but have become willing for the sake of my body : )

You're probably wanting comfort foods.

I usually crave sweets when I'm stressed or depressed. With me being 100 lbs overweight you can tell I've felt that way a lot over the years. :))
