Just FYI but disability and SNAP don't have any correlation so to qualify for SNAP...it's all about
one's income/finances.
So I was just making a reference about
SNAP based on the fact that many people think that organic is so expensive but it's come down so much over the years to be more competitive.
I guess I still haven't heard any of my Drs. ever put Fibro and inflammation together. Inflammation is usually the result of an actual injury or irritant. For examples...a broken or sprained ankle would cause inflammation of the surrounding tissue. Or arthritis causes inflammation which will manifest as swelling, stifness, and joint pain.
I am truly not trying to be argumentative at all and just having a healthy discussion as I think it's important that people understand what Fibro truly is because this helps provide the best treatment.
That is why I was saying that most Board Certified Rheumatologists who treat Fibro, do not call it an inflammatory disease.
I think that is why many of us also believe that if you are having specific symptoms it may not all be Fibro related...like actual inflammation of the bronchioles...then you may have an additional issue/diagnosis that needs to be treated. That is usually a sign of the flu, bronchitis, or even asthma. So this would be treated separately from your Fibro.
May I ask how many samples they gave you of the Cymbalta? I just wanted to say that you just need to be careful starting/stopping that medication so if it's not something you will be able to continue...I'm not sure I would be starting it at all but that is something to be discussed with the Dr. It's just a medication that needs to be tirated down slowly if on for more than a few weeks.
