Hi everone, a quick note to all the people in the eye of the storm of the centry shakehead shakehead shakehead I hope you all stay safe wink

Just thought id let you know im going in for my full hysterectomy tommorrow morn, and im in the middle of the worst flare so im a bit nerivous about  how much pain im about to be in so any postive thoughts or any tips on how to get through this would be most appriciated :-)

My good thoughts are with you. That's one surgery I haven't had, so I don't have any words of wisdom, but I hope you come through it with flying colors!

I haven't had that surgery either, but I wish you the best of luck.  Sorry to hear you're having a flare on top of it all--ugh!

Be sure to check in when you're back home and let us know how it went!

I haven't had the surgery, but I use to take care of several patients with a hysterectomy. Make sure you stay on top of the pain. Move around as soon as possible. Rest and take care of yourself. I hope you do well.

Azumi, I had major surgery after developing fibro and did very well.  Maybe the pain meds will help with your flare, too. 

 

I'm praying that things go well for you and you will be on the mend in a hurry.

Azumi, I have had the big H and I suggest you try to stay ahead of the pain. Do not wait until the pain is at its worst to take your pain med. my thoughts are with you

I hope things went well for you today! I had a total abdominal hysterectomy a few months after I was diagnosed with fibro. It was a little rough, but it was manageable. Just remember to rest lots, keep your muscles stretched and get up and walk short distances as often as possible, especially if you had it done abdominally.
