I finally got my checkbook balanced!  YAY  I usually don't have a problem but for some reason I wrote in my checkbook the wrong prices for two different visits to Walgreens!  I asked them to pull up those receipts since I had thrown mine away, and the bank was correct and I was very wrong.  My prices weren't even remotely close!  tongue    Now, how that happened, I'll never know.  Hasn't happened before.  I thanked the gentleman at Walgreens for finding out that I'm losing my mind!  turn    He laughed and I left shaking my head. 

 

BUT...I balanced my checkbook and also learned I need to keep my receipts until they check out with my bank.  It's either that or wear a bag over my head when shopping!  devil

Lately, I've been having trouble writing down the correct date when filling out any type of forms...somehow the year of my birth 1952 ends up in the blank. Somedays I feel like an episode of the Twilight Zone.

Sherrine at least you were aware that things weren't matching up when you were balancing the checkbook...that's a good thing :)

Sherri- I have lost one of my good kitchen aid knives that go with my set. I have looked for it like crazy. I sure hope I didn't have a fibro fog day and thrown it away. It was my largest knives. Some days I will find some crazy things in the refig or cabinet that shouldn't be there.

I can relate to it all. I have always had a tendancy to put numbers down backwards, so I really have to watch myself. I am always checking it with the bank balance to make sure. Right now I have things down to the wire so I have to be extra careful.

We can be like Santa, checking it once and checking it twice. lol...

I'm trying to be extra good with my checkbook, but for some reason I can't seem to remember to stub my debit card receipts. I have to go online to my bank and look to see what's out and what's left. :/

Don't feel bad, Sherrine....I just about ruined ANOTHER teakettle and ANOTHER burner right now because, of course, I'd forgotten all about it...was upstairs packing for my trip and kept smelling something burny. Told myself it was probably the cookies I'd just baked. Wrong!! I'd left the top off, so it wasn't whistling. I'm grateful that at least I still have a good nose! I should have listened to it right away.

If I get on that plane with everything I really need, it will be a minor miracle. Just getting it all together and fretting over it is exhausting ;( I so often feel like the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz..."if I only had a brain..."

I'm glad you got your checkbook balanced! :)  That's great.

Actually, the kettle IS ruined.  I just poured out the water and out came the black bottom enamel - WAH!  Those things aren't cheap!  Blast! shakehead

Acheybody- I just had to buy my wife a new tea ketttle I put the old one on and forgot all about it. It didn't have a whistle so I didn't realize what I had done until the smoke detector went off . All the water cooked out, the enamel burned, and even the wooden handle was turning black! I make sure the new one had a whistle spout. Hopefully that will prevent a future disaster. Luckily, she is a good sport.

I'm horrible about dates. I can make appointments and write the wrong date down. I don't even know I've done it until I realize the date I wrote down is a Sunday. I've done it enough that my neurologists receptionist knows my voice. I wish they all would do the call before and remind you thing. I'd be less likely to just forget about appointments.

I just upgraded my phone today to the Note 2 specifically for the note taking abilities and the calendar. I lose sticky notes way too easy. Having it all on my phone will keep me organized. I'm lucky they had a deal going on and I kept my Xmas money =)
