Hi folks
I completed my Hepatitis C therapy a month ago and developed this loud high pitch buzzing in my head. After reading on some articles, there is no documented cure yet. Some have suggested using earphones, fan and music to distract attention to the buzzing. I have tried all these means, however without any improvement.
It has been many sleepless nights for me since having Fibro, goin through the pain of tx and now this newly added stress to develop insomnia soon. I have to work 9 to 5 and a life to live.
Does anybody have some ideas to lessen this misery without the need of sleep aids?
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried melentonin? It's all natural and works great for most people. Don't use it if you have an autoimmune disease. It will cause more problems for you.
I'd love for my tinitus to stop. I have days I can ignore it, but then there's days like today it's very loud. Mine has been going on for years.
On really loud nights for me I use a sound machine I got at the store. It has about
7 different sounds I use to help block out the sound of the ringing.

I had a ear infection and ended up with tinnitus, i had it for years and slowly lost hearing during that time. Nothing ever took the noise away that I had, it was awful when the house was quiet. I now wear 2 aids.

I have it and new studies have shown that instead of trying to distract yourself from it, it's better to acknowledge it and be calm about
it, remind yourself that everything is okay. I've been practicing this and it does seem to work.

I think my tinnitus is from sensitivity to Advil.

I have tinnitus and have done since a very young child about
5yrs old and I am now 30yrs old. I go through stages where it annoys me more, and that was probably at its worst when I was about
10yrs old. I used to sleep with my radio on very low so I used to be able to get to sleep.
These days it doesn't bother me so much, but it would be nice to just experience what "silence" is like for once, as I don't know what it's like.
Hang in there, it does get easier, you just have to train your brain to not listen to it but to distract it :)
