First night of new med

Okay I asked the Rheumy to switch me over to Gabapintin because I was allergic to the other med he gave me.

Upon awaking...no itchy palms :-)

My covers were tangled up around me. tongue   I guess that means I moved a lot during the night which is rare. Usually I stay in one place all night.

I am sorer than normal this morning. Could be because I wiggled so much during the night? Who knows? confused

The strange shaking of my left hand after waking up was a lot less this morning, just a small tremble. :-)

However I do feel foggy and still a little sleepy. smurf

I hope that will fade some.

All in all, I give this medicine an 8 out of 10. tongue

Joy, did your Gabapentin work again for you with no side effects?  I sure hope so.  Been praying for you.

I'm still doing good.
I did kick my cat this morning by accident. My mother saw me do it after my cat tried to lay on my feet like she likes to do. She said my cat looked very angry at me.

So glad it is working for you. I'm on the same thing, but having different results. Can I ask what dosage you are Rx'd?

300mg at bedtime
He said it was the lowest dose and was going to gradually increase it over time.

Hmm ya they started me at 100 I'm up to 900mg a day now.

Ha! Good to know someone else's kitty is mad. I spent a very sleepless night to get up in a rush to get to pt today. Turns out my kitty had gotten adventurous because during one of my stretching trips I closed him out of our bedroom. He managed to get on the shelf above our washing machine and knock all the clean towels into the floor, he waited for me to get the food bowl full and I was getting ready to put the wet food over the dry he jumped up and tipped all the dry food into the floor which he then scattered everywhere. Then when I was brushing my teeth he knocked the roll of toilet paper into the trash, then he knocked the cover for my toothbrush into the floor and finished by knocking my cup of water into the floor. Guess I have to remember to leave that door open or Mojo will make my day rough.

I told my husband about our kitty's antics and he said thought he was very smart. I have to agree. It's a good thing I love the silly boy.

I stopped Gabapentin 2400mgs a day, I could not function.So after 8 yrs, I quit cold turkey , stupid of me,The Doc kept increasing the dose again and again. I told him I had had enough of this Bulls#*%@ and went to another Dc who is a GP and an Osteopath, First he ran tests on my legs for PAD then for other things but I don.t remember what. I now take 60mgs of Cymbalta and 10/500 for the aches and pains of Fibro and chronic [every where Arthritis. It has made all the difference in the world. I even have a day now and then with no pain at all.Good Luck every one and iask your Doc about Cymbalta but be sure to start out on the LOWEST dose possible.

I can't take Nsaids, English Rose, due to my kidneys.

My kitty is still a little angry with me. She pooped on my bed! Thank goodness it was on a plastic shopping bag.

10/500 refers to percocet. I live in Ft Lauderdale, some times I swear the weather makes the aching worse. Will some one help me out, I really do not know how this web sight works, I did not even have to sign on. What Gives??will someone start with step one,step 2 step 3 etc etc My email address on the sight somewhere,

Cymbalta helps stop the nerve pain of fibro but acts like an antidepressant.which is good since we all know pain causes depression.I do have a very good brain but somehow he never learned how to spell.

You probably have it set to remember your login information. At the top there is a tab to view your profile. In profile you can edit your email if that is what you want.
Mojo has decided to just go into hiding but I'm sure he will pop up soon. Our other kitty is snoozing on the arm of my chair. She is our nervous kitty. She is almost a year old and continues to nurse at my ears. She's actually older than Mojo but she's teensy. She sleeps in our bathroom sink.
