More bad news in a bad week

What a week this has been!  First, our dog's terminal cancer diagnosis.

Then, our nephew's being fired from a job he loved and needed. 

Money is increasingly tight for us...I didn't know just how tight till a few days ago. 

Now we just found out that my husband's step-mother died last night.  I've known her for 35 years.  We had our differences (hubby didn't care for her at all) and she didn't live close, but in recent years she and I have kept in touch increasingly often, and so have our daughters...one even visited her a couple of times.  She had fought cancer for years off and on, and as far as we knew, was prevailing again. 

I feel numb and without direction.  I may not be on here for awhile, or I may be on for hours at a time and drive everybody crazy.

I do hope you all have a wonderful Easter!  idea   A time of renewal, my favorite holiday, favorite season.

I'm so sorry, Debbie. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this painful time. Try to remember its the bad times that make the goods taste so sweet.

I think a lot of families are having a hard time right now in the financial department. I've been using coupons and that is helping save us money. I hated it but when you need money you gotta suck it up.

Just take care and I think everyone here will be wishing you serenity through this time. We are all here for you. Take good care of yourself as stress can make fibro flare up. Again, my heart goes out to you.

Hope you can take some time for yourself to breathe. When all those things come down on you all you can do is take one day at a time. Sorry it has been a rough week. Praying your week will be much lighter.

I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL. And the bad news about your furbaby.

We've had a lot of money problems since I quit working in 2008, so I can sympathize with you there. I hope it gets better for you.

When it rains it pours...

Today I opened the basement door to do my exercise for my arm (I do it in a doorway) and what to my wondering ears did appear but the drip drip drip of a failed toilet valve. The downstairs bathroom floor and the carpeting in the hallway is soaked...also some drywall going up about 2 feet in places. It has most likely been going on for several days.

Plumber, contractor, water mitigator and crew, and asbestos checker all were able to come very quickly, so I'm thankful for that. Aside from the $500 deductible, it's no biggie.

Not compared to the fact that our daughter (who has epilepsy) is experiencing tingling in her fingers and a strange inability to think very well today, for no reason. I'm not even going to tell my hubby about that - he's got enough on his plate.

And of course, our beloved Dylan, who's really not doing well today at all.

Could your daughter be anemic? That can cause tingling in extremities and difficulty thinking/speaking. That may be something worth looking into as its common in women that are still experiencing menstration. Good luck, Debbie. I'm praying for you and your family.
